school 📍 Ajà's POV
𝐈 sat in my usual seat for my first block, Jaida isn't coming today; so I really don't even wanna be here. We had a substitute, who was chill for the most part.
I scrolled boredly on my phone with a clear mug on my face. The door was flung open by Ethan. I tried to look like I was busy, quickly digging around in my tote bag; in search for my AirPods.
"Yo.. wassup' " Ethan said nudging me as he walked to his seat. I ignored him & slipped my AirPods on, while getting a notification from Instagram. ' Mar 🥷🏽( @NYC_Mauri ) started following you '
I clicked it onto the account, seeing Mauri, the boy who I met at the party. I smiled softly at his profile picture & followed him back of course & scrolled for a song to listen to.
I felt a pair of eyes on me so naturally, I looked up & seen Ethan staring at me. He licked his lips & smirked at me.
I wanted to smile but I rolled my eyes instead. He smacked his lips & threw his head back clearly frustrated.
I started to text my mom about how I wanted to come home. She wasn't budging though.

"That bitch Ajà.." I heard as the song I was listening to ended. I raised my head & seen Kalaisha mugging me & a group of girls laughing.
I took my AirPods out & put them away for obvious reasons. One of the girls laughed & pointed directly at me.
"Yo, what's ya issue?" I said across the room. Kalaisha laughed & said "Calm yo ass down." I got up from my seat, "Huh bitch?"
I been want to slap her for the longest, I'm sick of her.
" I ain't gon' lie watch yo mouth!" Kalaisha yelled as her friends 'hyped' her up.
"BITCH get down with me, fuck all this talkin'." I said now walking towards her with people following behind me, recording.
"Word? Bitch you mad over a boy?" Kalaisha laughed. "Everybody take a seat!!" the teacher yelled.
"This ain't got nothing to do with a boy & you know that." she screamed, "I'M FINNA BEAT HER ASS BRO!"
"So do something?" I said as Notti stood between us, "Come on it's not that serious." he said
"I swear to- bro stop touching me!"
Right after that Kalaisha swung, hitting Notti instead of me. The room fell silent as Notti stumbled back, holding the side of his face.
"Goofy ass girl.." I said shaking my head, I punched Kalaisha right in her neck.
I banged her head on the closest desk near me, "FIGHT BACK, PUSSY!" I said in between punches.
" SHE FUCKIN' SNUCK ME BRO!" I heard Kalaisha yell as I was being dragged out of the classroom by Notti.
"BRO GET THE FUCK OFF ME! DON' T TOUCH ME!"

"Ajà cmon sweetheart, class is over .." The teacher said as she softly shook my shoulder. I squinted before completely opening my eyes.
"Also, you're friend Ethan, is waiting at the door." Ms.Vasquez said. I furrowed my eyebrows as I was putting my belongs away. I looked up with an annoyed look plastered on my face.
As soon as my things were packed up I walked out, pushing past him. 'I really wanna go home bro.' "Yo what's up witchu' ?" I turned to see Ethan walking next to me.
"Shouldn't you be with ya girlfriend ? Go check on her or sumn' leave me alone." I said as I walked towards the office.
"Huh?" he said as he jerked his head back. I smacked my lips, stopping right in front of the office door; "Fuck is you, dumb ?"
Just as he opened his mouth to speak, I twisted the handle on the door, walking into the office.
"What's up love? You need something ?" the older lady, Ms.Greene asked. Not wanting to come off as rude, I flashed a quick smile & said, "Nope, just waiting on my ride!"
She smiled back & nodded as she continued whatever she was doing before. I sat down in a chair close by the door & put on my AirPods. Let You Go by Clara La San played as I texted Jaida, telling her about the dream I just had.
