"C'mon we goin' to the park, right now!" Dd spoke. I huffed loudly, "who all going?" I asked.
"Does it matter? It's dumb hot outside, everybody outside! Get ya' bum ass up, dickhead!" Dd yelled before slamming the door.
'I dead don't wanna go' I thought to myself. I scrolled on my phone for a few minutes before getting myself together.
I walked down stairs to see my brothers waiting on me. Ddot smacked his lips, "Let's go bro, my girl waiting on me!"
"Nigga what girl.. ?" I asked causing my head to jerk back. He smiled extra hard before saying, "TP, TP bro.." I shrugged it off & walked out the door.

park📍 Ajà's POV
Jaida & I set on the tire swing as Lamar sat on the swing across from us. We took tons of pictures & ate snacks as we talked, letting the time fly. I had went to visit my dad earlier with my mom.
I felt the need to tell my dad about how everything has been going on, minus the boy stuff of course. "So what yo pops say?" Lamar questioned. "Yea how he doin' ?" Jaida added
I sighed, " He said he alright but I don't know, he only be sayin' that cause he don't want me to worry 'bout him." Mar nodded, Jaida hummed in response.
"Type shit, you know if you wanna talk I'm here & shit, just let me know my heart." Lamar spoke, seemingly ready to leave the park.
I got up and gave him a hug, "of course, same these ways." I said while smiling. A few seconds later Jaida joined in the hug; calling it a 'JAM' hug, abbreviating our names.
"Aight get off me, being all sappy & shit." Lamar said while laughing. "But I'm finna head to practice, catch ya' lil niggas later."
"Mkay, be safe, love you!" Jaida & I spoke. "Love ya'll too." Lamar said before getting into his dad's truck.

As it got late, more people began to show up at the park. "So you & Mauri? Ya'll straight?" Jaida asked. I wanted to say yes but I'm still not sure.
"Or you not sure yet?" Jaida quizzed & I nodded. "Just giving it time that's all." I said coming up with any excuse that I could.
We sat in silence, I leaned my head onto Jaida's shoulder as we sat on the bench. A cool breeze flowed through my hair as I exhaled & closed my eyes.
I felt calm, at peace, I felt positive.
"Nah is that.. " Jaida said squinting her eyes, "Darrien!!" she squealed. My eyes shot open. 'Welp no longer at peace' I sighed.
Walking towards us was, Dd, Ddot, Jay, & Notti. I lifted my head so Jaida could give Dot a hug.
"Yo, what's the word my heart? Ain't seen you in years, gangsta' " Jay said while laughing. I laughed and gave him a hug, saying hey to Dd & Ddot as well.
I looked at Notti as he looked down at me, I looked away 'looking' for my phone. He shook his head before sitting down on the bench.
"Aight, I'm finna slide, if ya' need me I'll be over there." Dd said as he pointed to a group of girls by the basketball courts. I just shook my head, nodding as Dd & Jay walked away.
The only open seat was next to me, Jaida & Dot were next to each other, once I made eye contact with Jaida as she smirked, "D, you wanna go in the tire swing ?" Jaida asked.
"Nah not for .." He responded but Jaida had already got up, pulling his hand along with hers.
I scrolled on Pinterest; posting some pictures of me & Mauri at the movies to past the time, ignoring Notti's presence, even though his eyes were piercing right at me.
He finally decided to speak up. "So you ain't gon' say nothin' ? You ain't even look up from ya' phone yet."
I sat in disbelief, why should I have to say anything ? I'm not the one who lied. Just then, I felt my face scrunch up.
"Fuck? Why would I have to say anything?" I replied as I mugged him. He jerked his head back, "Yo wassup wit' you, deadass ?"
"Nothin' bro." I shrugged him off before scooting towards the arm rest of the bench. I was ready to go home at this point.
I wanted to talk to him but I couldn't find the words. I hate expressing my emotions. Plus it's not like he would've cared anyways. I rested my head on my palm as I felt him get closer.
"Ajà, what's wrong ? I did something ?" he asked as he pulled me into a hug.
"I seen you & ol' girl, stop touching me bro." I said while pushing him off of me. "Just leave me alone ion' wanna be bothered E. Figure out what you got goin' on. And leave me out of it." - She walked off to the swings as he sat with a perplexed look on his face as Ajà's words lingered within him, "Just leave me alone E"
