A Child's Best Interest (Completed)

Paglabas ni Bea, both Thirdy and Aston were outside leaning on the car.

"Mama!" Aston called her.

Bea went up to them and gave Aston a kiss.

"Papa, bigay mo na po sa kanya."

Thirdy reached for the bouquet of flowers and handed Bea.

"Ako po pumili nyan, nagustuhan nyo ba?"

"Ang ganda, anak, thank you. Pero pumasok ka muna sa loob ng sasakyan." Then he looked at Thirdy, " Ikaw sumunod ka sa akin."

The little boy was looking at them na parang kinikilig ang ngiti.

Nang makaabot na sila sa di kalayuan sa bata, Bea faced Thirdy.

"Ano ba talaga ang gusto mo? You looked like you could kill me yesterday tapos ngayon eto ka nakangiti. What the hell is the matter with you?"

"Gusto ko lang maging masaya ang anak natin."

"By making him believe. Ano, gusto mo makipaglaro as if we are a loving couple?"

"I don't even know how I feel when I'm with you. Gusto kita sa tabi ko, I don't want you to be with another man."

"Huh? What are you talking about?"

"Hindi pa ba maliwanag sayo?"

"Wala ako naiitnidihan, ano tingin mo sa akin? Gusto mo ako kasama just so you can figure out your feelings? Hindi ako guinea pig."

"Hindi mo ako naiintindihan."

"Hindi mo nga alam what you want." Bea voice raised a little, sabay alis but Thirdy was quick to stop her.

"Gusto mo ba si Anton?"

She coulnd't answer. She tried to leave again but Thirdy pinned her to the wall.

"Huwag ka gumalaw, makikita tayo ng bata." Thirdy told her. "You're so close to me now, nararamdaman ko bilis ng tibok ng puso mo. Does that mean you still have the same feelings for me?"

She looked at him.

"I used to love you, used to. Sobrang sakit how you tried so hard to take away my son. Sinubukan kitang kalimutan pero bakit pa kita nakita.  You're trying to win me back dahil kay Anton, diba? Feeling mo naagawan ka ng pag aari mo. Umalis ka na, kukunin ko si Aston sa Friday."

The whole day, Anton was busy with the family business, he was trying to save what he can para maiangat ulit ang company nila. Since nakuha ni Thirdy ang isa nilang negosyo, everything went hayward with the business. He has been doing a lot of client calls with Bea who has now joined him in one of their investment business.

Lahat ng client calls nya and business meeting were unsuccessful. Some cancelled the meeting last minute only to find out na may kinalaman ito kay Thirdy. 

Sa sobrang init ng ulo nya, he attempted to go to his office, tamang tama na padating din sya and he tried to stop them. Agad bumaba si Ivan upon seeing Anton and stopped him from getting near Thirdy.

Sa malayo pa lang, Anton was already swearing and shouting at Thirdy. Nagulat si Bea when Anton blamed Thirdy for his mother's death.

Napilitan bumaba si Thirdy upon hearing and went to Anton.

"Anong sabi mo?"

"You want to be one of us? In your dreams. No matter how successful you are, you're still an illegitimate child na pinanganak sa isang kabit!"

Biglang lumapag ang kamao ni Thirdy sa mukha ni Anton.

"Magkapatid kayo?" Bea asked in surprise.

Hinila ni Ivan si Bea palayo sa dalawa.

"Usapang lalake yan, huwag ka sumali."

"You can't blame me for your misfortunes sa negosyo. The business world is just like a battlefield and only the strongest survive. Kung sa palagay mo kaya mo, then take whatever you think is yours. Hihintayin kita!" Pagbanta ni Thirdy sa kanya as he turned his back and prepared to leave.

"Napakawalanghiya mo sa sarili mong ama, you don't deserve to be a father." Sigaw ni Anton.

Thirdy stopped and walked back at where Anton was standing and threw him a fist.

Agad tumakbo si Bea to stop them. Ivan tried to stop Bea pero nagpumiglas sya.

"Tama na yan!" She said while stopping Thirdy by holding his arms pero tinabi sya ni Thirdy.

He didn't realize na si Bea ang tinabig nya until he heard her reaction na nadapa na. Napatigil si Thirdy but Anton was quick to help Bea get up at pinasok sa sasakyan nya.

"Hindi pa tayo tapos!" He told Thirdy as he went inside the car.

Walang nagawa si Thirdy but to watch Bea leave with Anton.

While on the road, nagsimula nang magtanong si Bea, Anton explained their connection.

"My dad had Thirdy out of wedlock. My Dad dated his mom bago nakasal sa Mom ko. Hindi nagustuhan ni Daddy ang ugali ni Tita Mozzy that's why na inlove and Daddy ko sa Mommy ko and married shortly. It was too late when they found out na buntis na sya with Thirdy."

Anton parked his car at lumabas para magpahangin.

"Sabi ng Lola ko, things got even worse nang dumating si Thirdy. Palagi hinaharass ni Tita Mozzy ang pamilya ko especially my Dad, while insulting my Mom."

Nung gabi, pinuntahan naman ni Bea si Thirdy.

"Are you okay?" She asked.

Si Thirdy nakatayo lang sa harap ng bintana, nakatingin sa labas.

"I just knew you'd come pero wala ka maririnig galing sa akin. Kung may gusto ka malaman, kay Anton ka magtanong."

"I just learned today na magkapatid kayo. I have to say that I was surprised and shocked. Kung pamilya kayo, why do you hate each other so much."

"Hindi mo kami kailangan problemahin. Don't forget that you're my son's mother, tama na un."

"This concerns me, too!"

"Bakit? Dahil boyfriend mo si Anton?"

"What is it to you if he is." Bea said sabay talikod. 

Hinawakan sya ni Thirdy, inikot paharap sa kanya at hinalikan.

Bea was quick to break away and left him with a slap on his face and left.
