A distinct sound was playing throughout the room, ringing of a phone blasting into the quiet air.Loudly groaning, y/n reached their hand out to their phone; missing a couple times they grabbed it and pulled it to them. The phone had stopped ringing by that time and y/n turned their phone on, hissing and closing their eyes from the brightness, they looked at their phone more clearly and saw it was just an alarm. Staring blankly at the phone y/n laid flat on their back and rubbed their eyes, slowly started to get up they stretched out their body.
Throwing their legs off the side of the bed, they got up and started heading to the bathroom. Stopping in front of the mirror, they took a long look at what they had to deal with before they took a shower. A huge sigh came out of them frustrated that they have to get up this early, rolling their eyes as they closed the door. First turning on the shower to their selected temperature, second peeing, third checking on the temperature with their hand outstretched, and forth getting undressed and walking into the shower.
Walking out of the shower feeling clean you wrap a towel around you, and wrapping a towel on top of your head, walking off to the door and opening it. Patting yourself dry you pick up the discarded uniform on the floor and change into it. Almost everybody hates the feeling of getting ready for work, contemplating whether to quit, or taking the day off for a mental break. You had enough of those anyways, and you needed that money. Thinking more into it, you really did get jealous of pro heros they get so much money, but it's common sense that they get so much money. Saving lifes is one of the hardest jobs, being a gardener is nothing close to that.
You put perfume/cologne on you, grabbing your phone, keys, and money soon heading out of your apartment.
I should never envy pro heros, I could've been a pro hero, the quirk I have would fit in with that subject. But I never wanted that life, thinking about it gives me anxiety and a load of stress, I do really appreciate the heros.
Putting on some music you sing along until you make it to your workplace, I do love working here. Tending to the plants, listening to your own music, and working at your own pace is the best thing ever. I walked in and started heading out to the field, I only tended to the flowers and got them ready to ship to flower shops. The job is pretty simple, water the flowers, plant new flowers, take flowers out, and get them ready. Not many people know of this place, far out from the city and only a few workers.
Three hours pass and its lunch, forgetting to pack yourself a lunch you sped walked out the building to your car.
"Hey, wait up!" A voice called, it was one of your closest coworkers. Her name was Jane, she has bouncy curly hair, chocolate eyes, and was so nice.
Jane was such a pretty girl, it still surprised you that she wasn't in a relationship. You were so glad that you got to be close to her, we were not at the "best friend" stage but I will call it close enough.
"What need a ride?" You giggled, hearing Jane huff out air looking frustrated at the teasing and plopped herself on the seat.
"Of course I need a ride, y/n! It's like our thing to go out to lunch together!"
"I know, I know! But it's your turn to pay this time." You laughed at the girl next to you. Jane had a crazed look on her face while her mouth was opened.
"Wow, fine then." She pretended to sound upset, but when you made a face side eyeing her and she started bursting out laughing.
The ride was filled with laughter and gossip, oh how that girl had something to talk about. Riding along the roads of the city you and Jane started talking about where to eat.
"I say we go to a pizza place, pizza sounds so good right now." Jane was practically drooling saying that, I looked at her weird and shaked my head.
"I was feeling like going to McDonalds, I've had too much pizza this week because of you!" You argued
A long silence filled the car until Jane started groaning loudly, giggling at her silliness you pulled up to the McDonalds drive thru.
"What you want problem child?"
Parking in a random parking lot, you put the car into park. The both of you started digging in, Jane with her burger first, and you with the fries first.
"Dude I cannot believe that spiky haired blonde won that contest!" Jane gasped, both you and Jane were talking about the UA competition while driving to the parking lot.
"From what I heard he was definitely a handful."
"Yeah, watching it made me want to go through the screen and give him a peace of my mind!" Jane held her fist up imitating what she said.
You giggled and nodded agreeing with her, looking off to the side you really need to go watch it.
"Arrgh! Things like that get me so irritated!" Jane took an aggressive sip of her drink and continued, "Even Present Mic was bashing on the kid! I didn't even notice until blondie and that floater girl were up against each other!
Now that got to your attention, hearing those two words "Present Mic" made you now regret not watching the UA competition. Of course he would be there! Why did I think he wouldn't be there?
Present Mic was your number one celebrity crush, more like your only celebrity crush, and he was your favorite hero too. You will never, till the day you die, tell someone he is your celebrity crush. It's embarrassing as it is telling someone he is your favorite hero when everyone's favorite hero is Allmight. But telling someone he is your celebrity crush? Absolutely not. When you first found out about him you were so interested, he has a cool voice quirk, he works at UA, and he has a radio station with a podcast.
That man definitely has bank, and doesn't even have a relationship at all! Soon you continued the conversation, "Really? That's so like Present Mic to be honest with you."
Soon you and Jane were done eating, and was off to your own homes. Being the friend you are, you dropped her off and said your goodbyes.
"We should totally hang and have a sleepover." Jane said, you looked at her through the opened window and saw she was being serious.
"Oh for real? Well, we should definitely plan it. I'm not doing anything anyways except for work, you know."
"I know you don't do anything fun, that's why I'm asking!" Jane dragged on, you giggled at her once again and told her to call you about the little play date.
Saying goodbye again you drove off down the road and calmly went to your apartment.
Opening the door with your keys, you walk in and close the door behind you and quickly locked it. Taking off your shoes, you head over to your room planning to watch the competition. Undressing out of your dirty uniform, you threw it in your laundry basket and started dressing into more comfortable clothes. Grabbing your phone and earbuds you look up the competition and start watching it, you hear Present Mic talk about what is happening and explaining what this competition is for. Laying under the covers you smiled with content, sighing in deep thought as the video played in the background in your ears.
"Oh, how I wish to see this dude with my own eyes without seeing him on social media." You thought. It would be so rare, just like any other pro hero. Even if I did I would be too much of a nervous wreck to say anything, and would end up with no picture or autograph.
Now paying attention to the phone, you laughed quietly at Present Mic's antics.
How you wish you could meet him one day.
