Diluc walked around the dawn winery, anticipating on what he should do on his day off from angels share. He could reply to all those letters he's been sent about tabs that the regulars have never bothered to share, or just write letters to those about important matters regarding the Fatui and what not.
Nonetheless, he still couldn't pinpoint exactly what he should do. Or what he could do to keep himself occupied.
"augh, what a hassle." Diluc thought to himself, as he sat down, and was about to read a book, when he heard a knocking at the door.
"Ah- Adelinde, could you get the door please?" he kindly asked.
"Yes Sir Diluc." she made her way over to the door.It only took a moment. Diluc was looking down at his book, and all the sudden, an annoying high voice interrupted his thoughts.
"Ah~ Master Diluc! reading on such a lovely day like this? The breeze is so nice, and you'd rather be in here?"
The bard bit into an apple, while staring down at the aggravated man below him.
"Get out of my house, Bard." Diluc rolled his eyes.
"Now now, that's no way to treat your guest! didn't you say I could come over whenever I wanted?" Venti smiled.
"I wasn't being serious." Diluc sat his book down, folding the corner of the page before closing it."Well too bad!" He had sat by Diluc, crossing his legs.
"I think we should spend some time together today, yeah? We can't let such a nice day go to waste being inside!" Venti whistled.
Before Diluc could say anything, the bard had a hold of his hand, and they we're out the door. Diluc could no longer say no. Well, deep down, he didn't want to say no.They had made it all the way to windrise, and finally took a break there.
The bard sat down, and pulled his Lyre out.
"On a mystical day like this one, I think I should play some tunes for you, yeah? since I had you accompany me all this way, it's the least I can do." Venti smiled.
Diluc, sighing, didn't say anything. Instead, sat down next to the smaller one, closing his eyes.
"Make this worth my while."
The bard smiled, and started gently playing a set of chords to form a light melody. The breeze picked up, blowing his braids in the wind, as he continued to play. Having not been this close to Diluc in a while, it'd be preposterous to mess this chance up.Finally, his tunes came to an end. The sun was going down. Diluc got up.
"You aren't half bad." he looked down at Venti, reaching his hand out. Venti grabbed his hand, and pulled himself up.
"Why thank you sir Diluc~" he smiled brightly. He caught a glimpse of the sunset, before it finally ceased.
Diluc looked off into the distance. "I should get back to the dawn winery."Almost on instinct, Venti grabbed his hand. "ah-" the bard stared down at their hands, now locked together, the red head giving him a puzzled expression. "i-its nothing, don't worry about it." he quickly let go of Diluc's hand, turning away to hide his now flushed face.
He looked at venti, grabbing his hand again. "uhm, I know we haven't had many interactions as of late, and I apologize for that, bard." Venti turned his head back, looking Diluc in the eyes.
"ah- why are you apologizing? that's not your fault, sir dilu-"
"Drop the formalities, Bard." he looked stern.
"That's- not your fault, Diluc." his face felt warm.
Diluc moved a little closer to Venti's face.
"May I?" he asked politely."Y-yeah." Venti looked away, but before he could fully turn his head to the side, Diluc grabbed his chin, facing it towards him, and kissing him. The bard melted into the kiss, wrapping his arms around the red head. Diluc slowly moved his hands to Venti's waist, getting a nice soft grip on them. Venti broke the kiss. "Ah- you're gonna KILL me if you keep doing that!" The raven haired male covered his face, while catching a breather.
Diluc lightly smiled. "Overdramatic much? C'mon, let's walk back to the dawn winery."
