Twice Oneshots

2yeon - a single rose

Today was the day. Jeongyeon would ask Nayeon out today. She wore her best outfit and picked out her best perfume to wear.

She did her hair perfectly and even applied some light makeup. Everything had to go perfectly. Nayeon would accept her feelings.

She had to. Otherwise Jeongyeon would look like a fool. Nayeon was pretty popular so it would be even more humiliating if she rejected Jeongyeon.

Jeongyeon made her way to school carrying a single red rose. She went to her neighbor's house next door and picked the prettiest one from the garden. Shortly after she was chased off the property with a cane and threats to call the police.

But at least she got the rose. The abundant petals swirled perfectly into the middle and the dewy water on it brought out the nice smell.

Jeongyeon made sure to remove any thorns from it, she couldn't have Nayeon risked being stabbed after all.

It was the most beautiful flower Jeongyeon had ever seen. And it was crucial to her plan. The cherry on top.

"Oooh whose the rose for?" Chaeyoung asked her, attempting to grab the flower. Jeongyeon blocked her and raised it above her head.

"Not you Chaeyoung. It's for someone special." Jeongyeon yelled.

Well Chaeyoung knew who it was for already. She just liked to tease Jeongyeon. They were best friends after all.

"Just lemme seeee. I won't touch it." Chaeyoung whined.

"Maybe get taller and then you could reach it." Jeongyeon said, still raising the rose above her head.

"Hmph. You better not mess this up though. You're already pathetic enough so if Nayeon rejects you, you might as well just move schools." Chaeyoung pushed Jeongyeon.

"Ha Ha, very funny Son Chaeyoung." Jeongyeon said while shoving her in return.

"Everything will be fine." She sighed.

"It better be. I'm not gonna wipe your tears. Anyways i'm going to class, see ya!" Chaeyoung walked away leaving Jeongyeon alone.

Ok. She just had to wait until break so she could find Nayeon and ask her out.

For the meantime she had to protect the rose.

The school bell rung, indicating that it was time for break. Jeongyeon had been so confident in the morning, but now that was ebbing away as the time was coming closer and closer.

But she had already decided this. She needed to do it. There was no backing out.

All the students filled out into the hall, gathering in their own respective groups in the cafeteria.

Jeongyeon slowly entered the canteen as well, following the crowd and still holding the one rose.

She scanned the mass of people for one particular girl. Her eyes landed on Nayeon.

Bingo.

She was currently with her friends though. She needed Nayeon alone. Well she didn't NEED to but it would be awkward with her peers around.

"Stop staring and go do it." Jeongyeon was surprised to see Chaeyoung behind her, she just randomly showed up.

"What the heck Chaeyoung! Gosh you scared the shit out of me." Jeongyeon said while holding her chest.

"Good. That's my sole purpose in life." Chaeyoung flashed her ironic smile.

"Shut up and stop playing around. This is serious."
