One week later
"That's all for today, you may leave now."
Once those words came out of our professor's mouth, everyone packed up straight away. It was today they announced the annual ball, the girls had already chosen their dresses and the boys had already decided who they wanted to ask. We could go alone and it wasn't compulsory, but the guys and gals considered it more like prom. I wasn't that bothered by it, but I did enjoy the idea of having fun.
There is one restriction is that we couldn't invite anyone outside uni to join. This rule is absurd, what's the point of a ball then?
"Dress hunt on Sunday. I want to leave before any guy asks me." Chaeyoung shoves everything present on her table into her bag.
"Don't they know you have a boyfriend?" I question her. She kind of announced her relationship right after she met Hyunjin but there was no stopping her.
"Same goes for you." The girl takes the bag and flops it around her back, rushing out of the hall.
I utter a small sigh and shake my head at the girl's behavior. I packed my belongings rather slowly since there was hardly anyone left in the lecture hall.
"Are you thinking of going with anyone to the ball?"
A voice made me halt, I was shocked that it was oddly familiar. I looked up to see a platinum colored haired boy standing in front of me.
"Ha Joohoon?"
I haven't seen him in months. That was since I rejected him after I met Jeongin for the first time.

I walk out of the lecture hall going to head straight home. I didn't have a shift today and decided I wanted to work on the project my professor assigned us to do. My group mate will definitely leave all the things for me to finish.
"Seoyeon." My group mate called out.
"Yes?"
"I'll try and contribute to the project. Do you have time tomorrow? I want to do it in the library."
I was baffled by her behavior. She never for once wanted to try at uni. Her parent's connections brought her here.
"I guess? But I have work at 5, so I'll only stay till 4:45."
"Fine. I'll see you then." She walk away before I could say any more.
"At least she's trying," I mutter to myself and walk out of the campus. But before I could step out on the street, a grip held me tightly by my wrist.
"Seoyeon ah."
I turn around to see Joohoon, a classmate of mine, with an expression I couldn't describe. He's been avoiding me lately which was abnormal as he always had something to say.
He let go of me after a while and rubbed his nape. "Forgive me but I meant to ask you something before I leave."
"What is it?"
The boy takes a deep breath before looking straight into my eyes. "I know we aren't soulmates, but I still want to try...with you. I kind of...like you." He stutters.
I glance at him for a brief moment before breaking eye contact with him.
"Sorry, I'll need some time to think." I didn't think twice and rushed off to head home.
