It's the end of November and I've still not plucked up the courage to see Jeongin. Not to mention his nightmares slowly coming to an end. I once again was able to have enough sleep to keep me awake throughout the day.

Unnies have been a great help in battling the trauma of Hajoon. I've spent too long building a wall around my shattered heart.

I really need to let the past be past.

Chaeyoung went back home early this year to visit her sick sister, and so did Raeji and Jiwoo, who went home just recently to celebrate Christmas with her family. I still meet Chaeyoung at school, but she rushes off almost immediately every time to catch the bus back home.

The project of Mr. Kim's cafe is quarter-to-done, I decided I might wanna finish the rest to kill time during the holiday ahead of me. Chaeyoung agreed and handed me all the materials before leaving. I didn't bother going to the cafe either, I need to get my mind off the boys in the meantime.

I am now all alone, sulking as I have nowhere to go during the Christmas break.

It was a Sunday. Feeling discouraged, I dropped the work to relax my mind. The apartment is way too quiet without any humans present, excluding me of course. I sat by the bay window, looking out at the bustling streets of Seoul. Christmas decorations filled the whole city as they shone brightly to match the atmosphere.

Just this second, I heard a ring from the front door. I slowly moved my head toward the sound source. Another ring came in confirming I hadn't got a hearing problem.

But who on earth would ring the doorbell at 11 pm? It wouldn't be Chaeyoung because she told me she's staying at the hospital for a night. I just hope it isn't any of the boys.

I peeked in the peephole. To my surprise, a piece of luggage was placed in the middle of the hallway. I opened the door and was greeted by a familiar warm hug I'd never expected to receive today.

"Mum?"

"Pumpkin, I missed you." My dad, who stood next to mom, showed me the dimples I missed throughout the months.

I was shocked for a second. Didn't my parents say they'll stay in Australia till January?

"I missed you too. Why are you guys back so quickly? Don't tell me you skipped work again." I return the hug and asked.

"Oh honey, I'm not like that."

"Mum, last time I said I was bored at home, you flew back in a split second and played truant at work." I backed away from mum's grip, grabbing my hips as I watched the grown-up woman smile sheepishly remembering that day.

"I can promise you she finished work this time." Dad raised his hands in defeat as mum stared daggers at him.

I laugh at their behavior, never taking anything too seriously. A little bickering continues and I spot their eyes turning grey, ghost spirits they are.

"Yeon ah, I believe we have many things to discuss on." Dad looks in my direction and drags his suitcase past the door, entering the vacant-looking room. Yes, I didn't bother to put up any Christmas decorations, it annoys me.

"You and dad go talk, I'll be in your room."

I closed the door behind me after mum places her shoes on the shoe rack. She trails off to my room and closes the door.

I guess yellow eyes have to be solved sooner or later.

I take my phone out to text a specific someone whose room is yet to be occupied by the one and only me.
