3rd POV:

The family trio trek through Hiroshi's Labyrinth and boy was everything green.

The trees are huge and high up, and there were a lot of moving leaves in the way.

Lloyd sighs loudly. "How anyone got through this jungle is beyond me."

"Hiroshi's Labyrinth. Legend says no one has ever escaped its deadly maze except for Hiroshi himself. The book about this was very interesting, you should read it Lloyd, also, the best part is, the maze is no match for our powers. This is the perfect place to hide from the Overlord's clutches." Lyric stated in a knowing tone.

"Hide. That's all we ever seem to do." Lloyd complained.

"Your Golden and Silver Power only strengthen his cause. We must not lose sight." Garmadon stated in agreement.

"But I miss my friends. What good is being all powerful if I can't ever have any fun?" Lloyd complained again.

"I miss them too, Lloyd. But we have to do this to protect the people of Ninjago, you know that being all powerful comes with a prize, our powers may defeat any enemies we are up against, but the Overlord is different. He can never be defeated easily, he's basically the darkness itself." Lyric told him.

"Your sister's right. The Golden and Silver Power needs to be protected, honored. Evil forces will seek it, try to take it for their own. It seduces. Even your friends may one day covet it." Garmdaon stated in agreement, though Lyric disagrees with the last sentence.

"Our friends would never hurt us." The twins protested.

"He who holds the power has a tremendous obligation. You two must be prepared to handle this journey alone. Even without me one day." Garmadon remarked.

The twins frowned upon his remark. "Yeah, we know."

"Keep your chins up, twins. Legend also states there is a jewel inside the maze, the most beautiful oasis no one has ever seen before. Perhaps we will be the first." Garmadon said trying to make the twins forget the conversation they had earlier.

"That sounds fun." Lyric stated with a small smile, she may have read a book about Hiroshi's Labyrinth but she has not read about the secrets that hid upon the jungle.

They arrived at a small waterfall in the jungle, and it was majestic.

Lyric couldn't help but awe at the scenery, breathtaking her once tense body quickly relaxed.

"The jewel of the Labyrinth. It's..."

"The most beautiful thing I've ever seen." Lloyd finished Garmadon's sentence.

"Mhm." Lyric hummed in agreement as she continued to be in a daze, staring at the jewel.

"Yes. Beauty can be born even in darkness." Garmadon quoted.

Suddenly the trio heard a buzzing coming from behind, they turned around to see trees being cut down.

"They've found you two. You two must leave! Go!" At first, the twins didn't listen and were frozen but their Dad was insistent and yelled. "I said leave!"

Lloyd was the first one to snap out of it and quickly grabbed his sister's hand as they ran away.

They climbed onto a tree and glanced behind to see what else was happening.

Lyric's eyes widen upon seeing her Uncle again, but she doesn't recognize him as the Uncle she knew before, he looked different.

The two finally reached the top of the waterfall but were seen to be surrounded by Nindroids all around.
