In chapter one, the sixteen years old student, Margie, arrives with her parents in Rose Town to start a new life. When visiting a flowershop, she meets the shy and insecure Dayao. The two girls can get along great and a friendship is at a fresh start. However, when she walks around in the park in the evening, she meets a rude girl with sunglasses. When Margie picks up a pink jewel, a strange guy called Gino appears and reveals his true identity: A servent of a great villain who wants to take away the beauty of earth to awaken the power of the black jewel. Can Margie stop him?

Shivering in fear, Margie stares at the tall jester, who is towering over her. Cold sweat runs down her back while a shiver crawls up her spine. Panic gnaws on her chest, a heavy feeling pressing it painfully, making Margie shakingly gasps for air. It feels like she's choking.
Breathe! Breathe! Margie's mind screams while her lungs feel starved from a lack of oxygen.
What is going to happen to her? To the world? Who is this jester? What is the black jewel? What happens if if it awoken? Will the world end?
No! That can't happen! Margie doesn't want to dissapear. She wants to live. She wants to get to know Dayao better. Wanting to graduate, make her parents proud. Marrying a beautiful wife and have children. The world can't end. It just can't!
'Now give me the Rose Quartz!'
Gino's voice interrupts Margie's wilderness of anxious thoughts. He is appoaching her fast.
A scream escapes Margie's throat. It sounds raw. Full of fear of dying. Margie's legs drag her away. She needs to escape. She needs to hide before it's too late!
Gino is much faster. He then runs in front of her. Margie almost bumps into him. A gasp escapes her throat. Gino gives her a death glare. His eyes are dark. They are full of pure hate.
'Now you have nowhere to go, little girl!' Gino snarls. His arm gets lift up. Long, pink nails approach Margie's face faster and faster.
'No you don't!'
A high pitched voice interrupts Gino's attempt to scratch Margie's face. As quick as a flash, a turquoise ball bumps into Gino, knocking the jester over. Another gasp escapes Margie's throat.
'Girl!' the turquoise ball says, which turns out to be a cute, fluffy animal with cat ears, a tail, green, transparent wings and a yellow diamond on their head. 'That Rose Quartz holds the power of the legendary warriors, Pretty Cure! Don't let Gino take it or it will mean the end of the universe!'
Margie gulps after hearing those words. She holds the jewel even tighter. She isn't even aware of the pain in her hand and her knuckles turning white because of how tight she is holding it.
She can't hand over the jewel. No matter what. Even if that means it costs her own life. She just knows it.
'Maaa I had it with this!' Gino gets up, sounding dramatic. 'Hand the jewel over!'
'No!' Margie yells in fear. 'If all of this is true... If you really are trying to destroy worlds... I... I WILL TRY TO STOP YOU!'
The cracks in the rose quartz dissapears, but Margie doesn't notice it.
The creature gasps. The excitement can be heard in their voice. 'One of the three parts of the PreCure heart is glowing!'
The angry yells of Gino interrupt them. The jester tries to grab Margie's arm. Margie jumps backwards to avoid it, and then in a reflex, kicks his arm. Gino grabs her foot with his other, untouched arm, lifting her up. He might not look strong and skinny instead, but his strength should clearly not get underestimated. He floats up while Margie dangles above the ground. Screams of fear escape her throat as she gets higher and higher, scared of the injuries that might follow when she gets dropped. Her heart beats in her throat while a headache from the fear and hanging upside down gnaws on her head. Gino then throws Margie down.
Is this it? is all she can think. She closes her eyes in fear. Images of her mother and father flash her mind. The wind brushes her arms. Then, the wind gets less and less, until it stops. Confused why she isn't feeling any wind nor pain, Margie opens her eyes. Immediately, another scream escapes as she finds out she's floating.
'You annoying stuffed animal!' Gino's enraged voice sounds as he sees how the creature is using their magic to let Margie safely float to the ground. Gino gathers a magical ball in his hands, soon sending it to the two. Before they can react, the magic hits them. Margie lets out another scream as she gets shot to the distance. Then, extreme pain hits her back, spreading fastly to rest of her body. It burns and Margie falls down on the ground, looking at a tree root right next to her. Her eyes feel heavy. Darkness soon embraces her.
A wide smirk appears on Gino's face as he chuckles. Relieved that an annoying teenager has finally shut up, making it easier for him to do his job. As pride rushes through his veins, he walks over to Margie in calm steps. He looks down on the ground, picking up the Rose Quartz she's dropped.
The cute creature yells in frustration and tries to snatch it out of Gino's hand, but Gino hits them hard with magic. The creature falls down in pain.
'Well, weren't you two impressive!' Gino scoffs loudly as he watches the creature lay on the ground, struggling to get up and dropping as their arms can't hold their weight, and the unconscious student laying helplessy against the tree.
'I didn't even had to use a Wonk.' Gino starts laughing loudly.
'Y-you won't win...' the creature says weakly. Fire of determination burns in their eyes, despite the pain crushing down on them.
'Huh?' Gino pulls up his eyebrow in surprise after the creature interrupted him.
'The second part of the three parts of the PreCure heart is glowing...' they groans.
'Oh shut up,' Gino says and hits the creature again. They yell in pain as they drop on the ground again, closing their eyes. Trying not to move to not make the pain worse.
'I have no idea what you mean, but it won't mean anything as long as I have the Rose Quartz. And the Rose Quartz is-' Gino gasps as he looks at the jewel in his hand. Panic immediately starts to wash over him. 'WHERE ARE THE CRACKS AND THE DIRT?!'
'Her heart is reacting to it...' the creature says happily but weakly.
'Oh, so I see she is trying her best to fight anyway, huh? Pathetic.' The disgust can be heard in Gino's voice as he watches Margie regain her consciousness. The pain can be seen in her eyes, but also the strength and hope in her heart.
I have to fight, Margie thinks in herself. I have to save this world. I have to, no matter what! The jester is not allowed to win! Not if I have anything to say about it!
Gino suddnly smirks widely. 'Maybe that girl will become a PreCure warrior? And make our job harder and might even defeat us? Then I have to stop her from becoming one. And that's easy!' He holds the Rose Quartz in front of him, in his fingers. Then he starts to squeeze it. A crack appears in it.
'NOOOOO!' The creature screams in despair, trying to stand up. Margie also collects all her strength to stand up. She can feel an adrenaline rush after the scream gave her fear. Her knees shake, making it hard to gain control over them, but slowely she stands up and weakly walks to the jester. The pain is trying to hold her back. Each step feels like a huge knife goes through her body.
Another crack appears in the pink jewel. And then another one. And then more and more.
I have to take it... Margie thinks in herself. I can't let that jester get away with his evil plans. If everything is true, it will mean the end of the world... And I think it's real. After all, he completely changed his look with a single snap in his fingers. And he is hurting me and that animal with magic... I can't... Let him... Do... Such... A... Thing...
More cracks and small pieces fall down.
Come on Margie... Do your best... Fight for people's happiness... You can do it... You have to... You have to protect everyone!!!
Gino smirks as he sees Margie collapse, and right when her knees hit the ground, the Rose Quarz shatters in many, many pieces.
