In chapter 3, Margie and Dayao get to know each other better and Dayao reveals some of her insecurities. Margie helps her to feel better and once they go to the park, they see the rude girl with the sunglasses again. Determined to find out why she acts that way, Margie offers her help but it gets denied in a mean way. Gino comes back and uses an upgrade of the Wonk. Margie, who is weakened by her own insecurities, almost loses until Dayao comes to save the day as Cure Azura. Together they discover more about the sunglasses girl, who is blind.

Dayao lays down on the grass. Margie is right next to her. They're in the daisy flower field, both of them feel tired after the battle.
'That was some battle.' Dayao lets out a sigh, both of relief and slight worry. It causes a heavy feeling to press down on her chest. It hurts. She knows something is wrong with Margie. Mentally. Can Dayao help her friend? Or will something bad happen?
She can remember everything that has happened crystal clear. She saw the jester, about to destroy her best friend. The heavy vibration in the air. The screaming of the jester. The determination of Candy Floss. The cracking shield they desperately held up, despite the fact that they stood no chance.
Dayao had to do something.
She didn't want to lose her friend. There is something special about Margie, something that connects them, like a strong, indestructible magnet. It was not the time to be scared.
Before she realised she did it, she ran towards the battlefield. However, she fell on the ground due to the vibration in the air that made everything shake the closer she got to the battle. Her ears were ringing painfully. In an attempt to stop it, she pressed her hands against her ears. Tears force themselves out of her eyes. Closing her eyes tight. Then it stopped and a blue jewel, which she's found weeks ago, was floating in front of her, glowing and filtering the loud ringing so it stopped hurting her ears.
Stunned with confusion, she had no idea what to do nor what was happening. Then, the realisation hit her like a lightning strike. Margie, she was wearing a necklace with a jewel like this one. That must be the reason why she had powers, and now a similar jewel was protecting Dayao from the painful noise.
Then she was aware of the fact she stood up as the ground also stopped shaking thanks to the jewel. She smiled, then grabbed the jewel and ran as fast as she could towards the battle. With each step, more cracks appeared in Candy Floss' shield. They seemed so far away, Dayao didn't feel like she got any closer. Margie looked worried at what was happening. Her eyes closed slowly. Meanwhile, the cracks spread so rapidly, that Dayao realised it was about to break any second. In desparation, Dayao instinctively trusted the jewel and made a jump, holding the jewel in front of her. The shield broke. Darkness started to surround everyone, but the blue light of the jewel prevented the darkness from touching everyone. It was protecting Dayao and the rest.
'I'm glad I was there just in time. You were almost gone. What is bothering you, Mar? I feel like it's more than just what people said about you.' Dayao rolls on her side, looking at her friend with a worried expression on her face.
'Yeah, you have to tell us.' Candy Floss looks just as worried. 'Your PreCure powers are based off of the strength of your heart. There are basically three parts of the PreCure heart. Four is so strong that you would be willing to sacrifice yourself for the sake of others. You will also be able to heal everyone. That's basically what you two achieved at the beginning. Gaining four parts is rare. Then just the three parts are really strong. You will be able to defeat a giant boss with those. Two parts is just average strength. One is weakened and it means that you are in danger of collapsing. Zero is the worst of all. It means pure despair. Margie, your heart only had one part. You should tell us what bothers you, not only for your duties as a PreCure, but also for your own safety. We are your friends and we want to help you, just like you help us.'
'You have heard everyone,' Margie says in a sad, yet slightly angry voice. 'I am bossy, pushing, annoying and selfish. I want to help people. I want to so hard, but in the end, I harm more than I do good.'
'That's not true,' Dayao says in an attempt to make her friend feel better about herself. 'You really h-'
'No I don't!' Margie yells. The frustration can be heard in her voice. She jumps up, biting her lip hard. 'I know that you might feel better now Dayao, but I was still being pushy, I forced you to tell me about things that were bothering you, without concidering how scared you must've been to tell me about it, just like I did to that blind girl! I am selfish for not thinking about how they might feel!'
Tears shoot in Margie's eyes. She tenses up, balls her fists and bites her lip even harder. She uses all her energy to desperately try not to burst out in tears.
'Margie...' Dayao gets up and walks over to her friend. 'What matters is that you have good intentions. In the end, you help people more than you think. I needed a push from you to finally let my feelings out.'
'A push... So you admit that I am pushing!' Margie wants to run away, but Dayao quickly grabs her wrist to stop her. Even though Margie can easily break free, Dayao still tries her best to stop her friend from running away.
'You can be pushing, but that's not always a bad thing,' Dayao says. 'Your advice really helps me. I don't want to be afraid anymore. I want to be strong. I will be honest with you, Margie.' Dayao takes a small pause before continuing, looking at Margie's back. 'I look up to you. The way you can get trough people is amazing. The way you treat people is amazing. You have the power to help people fix their problems, to heal their sadness and fear. You saw sunglasses girl. She thanked the both of us. I'm sure she realised that she was in danger and that she got saved by two girls.'
'I didn't even do anything in that battle just now... Like Candy Floss said, I almost-'
'You seem to forget that you still fought when you could fight,' Candy Floss interrups her. 'In your first battle, you fought against Gino without any powers from your Rose Quartz. You can't tell me you weren't scared.'
'I wasn't scared...' Margie's voice is shaking, like she is holding back tears. 'I was fearing for my life. I had to protect the Rose Quartz and Gino scattered it. Because of me, the world would crumble!'
Margie balls her fists while shaking a little. 'And it almost happened again if it weren't for Dayao! In the first battle, I fought against Gino with my own strength because I had no other choice. He is so tall and strong! When I was in the water, I feared drowing because I couldn't get out. I've never been so scared in my whole life before... I was so scared of letting people down and I was so afraid to die...'
She starts sobbing. The disgust and dissapointment in herself can be heard in her voice. Dayao also gets tears in her eyes. Margie must've been so scared. She puts so much pressure on herself. She has a huge responsibility that is too much for a simple teenager to handle.
Now that Dayao thinks about it, she has the same responsibility and she's also just a teenager. She's scared as well, but tries not to show it and brushes it off. It, however, still leaves a heavy feeling to press down on her.
I guess that's what they mean by carrying the world's weight on your shoulders, Dayao thinks in herself as she bites the inside of her cheek.
She pulls Margie close. 'You can cry on my shoulder.'
'I'm scared of so many things,' Margie sobs as she sniffs loudly. She's shaking a lot and feels warm and cold at the same time. 'I'm scared of making people feel bad, I am scared of losing the people I care about, letting people down, not being able to help them... I'm scared of my past illness preventing me to fight...'
'You had an illness? What kind of?'
Margie is silent for a little while. 'Sorry, I don't want to tell...'
'That's fine.' Dayao sounds sweet, understanding and comforting as she strokes Margie's back. 'You can tell me when you're ready.'
'...Dayao?'
'Yes?'
'I could learn a lot from you. I have to give people space until they're ready to do something. In the meantime, I should focus more on getting stronger.'
'Don't forget you two, I am your mentor,' Candy Floss says. 'I will learn you what you need to know about your powers. You have nothing to fear. I promise.'
They fly up to take the girls their hands. 'I'm here for you both.'
