Learn Modal Verbs by a song!

Modal Verbs are helper verbs. They are giving a sentence the ability, possibility, intent or necessity.

As in English they can be tricky, 
but we will do one step at a time.

When learning any verb, try to learn to only singular that is the first 3 parts of the conjunction as that's the most used and will help for the rest. Analysis of the difference between "Ja" and "Ty" will make it easy to conjugate the rest and you don't have to know it all.

So to make this more fun we will use the famous recent song, Flowers by Miley Cyrus.

I can buy myself flowers!

Next we will break down each part.
I can ( to be able to (in general) = "Móc" which is a Modal verb.

Buy = kupić (main verb).

Myself = 'się' or in this case "sobie".

Flowers = kwiaty {kwiat (s)}

Now let's conjugate the modal verb,

A fun way to help you remember Móc is 'Mocha coffee' - gives ability to do anything!

Móc: mogę, możesz, może, możemy, możecie, mogą.

Now keeping the infinitive part of the main verb 'kupić' we can say:
Mogę kupić sobie kwiaty!

Now on to another line: 
Mogę zabrać się do tańca = I can take myself dancing.

Zabrać = to take.

Się= oneself.

Do tańca= to dance,

Mogę trzymać się za rękę= I can hold my own hand

Trzymać = to hold.

za rękę = by hand.

Napisz moje imię na piasku = Write my name in the sand.
