Section 1: Affirmative and Negative Sentences In Polish, making a sentence negative is as simple as adding "nie" before the verb. Here are some examples:
Affirmative: Ja lubię kawę. (I like coffee.)
Negative: Ja nie lubię kawy. (I don't like coffee.)
Affirmative: Ona mówi po polsku. (She speaks Polish.)
Negative: Ona nie mówi po polsku. (She doesn't speak Polish.)
Now, try making these sentences negative:
Ja rozumiem = (I understand)
Ty lubisz lody = (You like ice cream)
Oni jedzą mięso = (They eat meat)
My lubimy jeździć na rowerze = (They like to ride on the bike)
Section 2: Asking Questions To ask a question in Polish, simply add "Czy" at the beginning of the sentence and "?" at the end. Here's an example:
Statement: On lubi pizzę. (He likes pizza.)
Question: Czy on lubi pizzę? (Does he like pizza?)
Now, try making these statements into questions:
Ty mieszkasz w Warszawie = (You live in Warsaw)
Ona pije herbatę = (She drinks tea)
