Abby was settled in a quiet corner of the library, away from the hustle and bustle of the institute. She was immersed in her reading, savoring every word, every sentence. Books were her passion, her source of comfort and knowledge. She had carefully selected the ones she had taken away, carefully arranging them on the table in front of her. That's when Jace walked into the room, turning Abby's head in his direction. He was tall and slender, with tousled blond hair and an intense look. He settled down in front of her, silent, as if hesitating to interrupt the tranquility of the library. Abby was immersed in her thoughts, but she soon felt Jace's gaze on her. She looked up and their gaze met. He had this smirk that made him look mischievous and seductive at the same time. Abby couldn't help but smile back, feeling her heart beat a little faster. The minutes passed, each lost in their thoughts. Abby concentrated on her books again, taking notes in her notebook. She was so absorbed that she didn't notice Jace's movement until he spoke, breaking the silence.
-After this long day, don't you want to go to sleep? Abby startled slightly, then smiled again, shaking her head.
"I'm a big girl, Jace," she said, laughing softly. "I can handle myself on my own."
Jace nodded, smiling back. Abby plunged back into her reading, but she soon felt Jace's gaze on her again. Abby felt nervous in Jace's presence. She was trying to concentrate on her reading, but she could feel his gaze on her. She couldn't help but wonder what he thought of her. To make a little order on the small table, she went to the book shelves that went from the floor to the ceiling. She was afraid to indulge her feelings, but she couldn't help but feel attracted to him. When Jace took the book from her hand, she turned to face him. She was surprised to see how intensely he was looking at her. She felt vulnerable, but at the same time, she was curious to know what he was going to do. Then, without warning, he pulled her against him and kissed her. Abby felt invaded by a wave of heat that ran through her entire body. She felt as if time had stopped and that nothing else existed except the two of them. The kiss was long and passionate, and Abby felt overwhelmed by emotions that she had never felt before. But their moment was interrupted by the arrival of Isabelle. Abby moved quickly from Jace.

Clary wanted to talk to Isabelle for a little while, but Isabelle seemed to ignore her. Before I could do anything to call her out, the computers in the room became agitated: someone was trying to enter the area. Isabelle and Alec took their weapons and headed for the exit. Clary took a seraphic dagger and followed them. About fifteen meters away from them was a figure who was carrying someone in his arms. The further the figure advanced, the more it was possible to say that it was Raphael who was carrying Simon's corpse. Alec and Izzi took it upon themselves to show the way to the crypt. Isabelle went to look for Jace and Abby. Clary felt her heart pounding in her chest as she contemplated Simon's lifeless body. Tears began to pour down her face as she realized the magnitude of the situation. She remembered the good times spent with Simon, the laughter, the deep conversations, the moments of distress that they had shared. And now he was gone, dead in Raphael's arms. The heavy silence that had settled in the crypt was broken by the sound of approaching footsteps. Clary turned her head to see Isabelle, Jace and Abby running in. Abby felt her heart break into a thousand pieces when she saw the body of her best friend lying on the table, inanimate. She felt as if time had stopped and that all that mattered in this world was Simon's cold body. The tears began to flow down her cheeks as she realized that she would never be able to see him again or hear his voice. He had been her source of comfort, her confidant, her best friend and now he was gone. Abby began to tremble as sadness and anger overwhelmed her. How could we have done this to Simon? How could anyone be so cruel? She was ready to do anything to avenge him, to make the murderer pay for what he had done. When Raphael explained the options available to them, Abby felt divided. On the one hand, she wanted to bring Simon back to life, even if it meant that he would be turned into a vampire. But on the other hand, she couldn't bring herself to accept the idea that Simon was no longer human. Clary began to sob more beautifully. Abby felt empty, but she was ready to do anything to avenge her friend and ensure that justice was served. "You have a little less than 24 hours to make up your mind, call me when you have decided," without further words, he left the room.
"What are we doing, huh?", she had black eyes, her mascara had run off, she kept waving her hands in all directions.
"You're staying here at the institute, I'm going to see his mother, and we'll make that decision tonight, okay?"
"Why, eh? Why are you going there and not me?", this was the second time the three Lightwood saw the twins fight.
"If you promise me that you will be able to talk to her mother without crying and explain everything to her, and if that's what you want, then go ahead. You know just like me that it's not a good idea to tell her mother the truth."Abby finally agrees to stay at the institute. Clary went to her room to get ready.
"You could go with her please," she had teary eyes.
"Of course."Jace left to accompany Clary.
