Akira could hear the faint beeping of her alarm as she stirred out of sleep. She turns onto her back in her bed, covering her eyes from the sunlight seeping into her room with the backside of her hand. She turns over entirely, shutting off the 6:30 alarm on her phone.
She sits up in her bed, stretching as she yawns. Tears fill her eyes as a result, and she wipes them away before they fall. She swings her legs over the edge of the bed, and she sits there for a moment, enjoying the light warmth from the sunlight before standing up.
She walks to her bathroom, turning on the shower as she brushes her teeth. After that, she strips off her clothes and steps into the shower, the warm water making her shoulders relax. She washes her hair rather quickly, not wanting to waste too much time, and then she steps out to dry off.
Akira wraps a towel around her body, and then she grabs her hair dryer, turning it on to dry her hair. After about five minutes, her hair is dried; one of the perks of having short hair. She never regret that decision.
She turns the hair dryer off, and sets it down, brushing her hair so it's not all over the place. Though she will admit, it looks pretty cool like that.
After fixing her hair to how she likes, Akira heads back to her closet to pick out an outfit. She puts on deodorant before putting on a bra and underwear, and then she grabs a white turtleneck, putting it on. She then grabs a pair of light blue jeans, stepping into them.
She always loved when jeans were a little snug, but just loose enough to be able to comfortably move around in. She thought she looked really nice!
Akira pulls a black belt through the loop holes in her jeans, clipping it shut at the front. She grabs a black coat and a pair of black boots, putting them on as she steps back out of the closet. She puts on a gold necklace, as well as a pair of matching gold earrings.
After lightly shaking her hands, Akira would slip on a pair of black fingerless gloves. She'd make sure the velcro straps stayed on, and then she'd clench her hands together to loosen them slightly.
She looks in the mirror leaning against her wall, making sure she looks good enough for her liking. Akira would hum contently, and then she'd grab her wallet from off her dresser, putting it in her pocket. She grabs her headphones, plugging them into her phone as she picks it up.
Akira scrolls through her playlist before finding a song she feels like listening to at the moment, and then she puts her phone in her other pocket. She grabs her keys from off the hook, turning off the lights as she heads out the front door.
Akira closes the door behind her, locking it before walking down the hallway towards the stairs. She heads downstairs and leaves the apartment complex, making her way towards Chinatown.
She crosss the street, looking into the various shop's large windows that allow passerby's to see what they have to offer. Akira walks to the cafe she usually stops by to get breakfast, and she heads inside, the bell above the door ringing.
"Hey Akira! How are you today?" A familiar voice would ask her. "I'm alright Grayson, how 'bout you?" Akira would reply as she walks over to him.
"Pretty good! Business has been smooth. Want the usual?" He asks her with a smile while setting down a clean coffee cup and a linen. "You know me." Akira says, walking to the wall next to the cafe's window, leaning against it as she waits.
