I kept on thinking about him that night, his death, my loneliness, where I would go.

I had no one left and I didn't think about ever going back to the Clan. I just felt different.

I was converted into a different person. I didn't feel Strigoi, I felt human. I've never felt that way.

Before, the Clan would be the first I would turn to, but there's something else. There was something about the Clan that I didn't trust. But I couldn't figure out what it was.

My Dad didn't trust them for a reason, and why should I? What I feared was that my Mom could of been part of it.

But I was determined to figure out what it was, why my Dad killed himself, and why I didn't have a say on anything that has happened?

Being stuck in Jail gave me a large amount of time to think, and meet someone new.

This town was different from any town I've ever been in. And I haven't been in many, so who am I to judge?

All my life I've been taught to stick with my Clan, my kind, but it seems like my Dad was either desperate to get away or something was severely wrong with him.

There was only one thing my father agreed with the Strigoi about, and that was living among other species should be something forbidden. He would never in the right mind take me to a place with Humans, and who knows what else?

As I sat on this bench in the cell going over billions of endless thoughts in my mind; a tall, tan, dark haired, young man was escorted into the cell next to mine.

And wow, he smelled. Nothing like a Human or anything i've ever came in contact with. I had no idea what he was, but I tried to ignore whatever 'it' was.

He sat there staring at me, as if trying to pose a threat. And trust me it was weird, I have never felt so uncomfortable in my life.

Then I heard a growl. And then it hit me. What growls and likes to intimidate? Hmm, maybe a Wolf? Or should I say a Lycanthrope?

I've heard many things about them. I've heard that their very territorial and they like to tease the lower species, as in 'us'.

And I definitely felt like the lower species with the way he looked at me. He stared at me with those big, brown, dog eyes and the way he smiled like an evil villain.

He slowly got up and grabbed onto the bars connecting our two jail cells.

"Strigoi, dang didn't know there were any left of you." The young Lycanthrope mocked with a grin on his face.

I felt like answering but that would only empower him. So I looked away and acted as if I didn't hear him. And that bothered him.

"This is Lycanthrope territory." Growled the Lycanthrope as his grip tightened around the cell bars.

You know what? I wasn't gonna get treated like this.

I crossed my arms; ready to do my thing. I just always have to speak my mind, which can be both a good and bad thing. Well lets see what it'll be.

"What? This jail cell? Seems a little small since I heard there's many of you". I said as I shrugged and let out a slight chuckle.

And I hit the spot. He smashed into the bars and growled. He looked like a dog barking at passing people from behind a fence.

It was super amusing. But little ol' me wasn't gonna let him threaten me like that. I got up, grabbing on to the bars, looking him straight in the eyes; to show him I wasn't afraid of him.

"You're a Strigoi, you don't belong in Lycanthrope territory." He said in a furious tone.

"Don't you see I'm locked up here? I would gladly leave your doggy territory if I could." I hissed.

"We are not Dogs, we are Lycanthrope." barked the Lycanthrope almost spitting in my face. Gross, doggy breath.

Suddenly a police officer walked in with two men and opened the Lycanthropes cell as we growled at each other.

The men both smelled like a Lycanthrope too. The Young Lycanthrope backed away out of his cell as he saw who had arrived, but he still kept his eyes on me.

I was screwed, now there was more than one. I could barely handle one, now three?

One of the men wore a black hood and pitch black sunglasses. You could barely even see his face but if you looked closely you could see burn's and scars, he also walked around with a stick.

I wonder what happened to him?

The other man had dark hair, a long beard, and a wolf tattooed on his neck.

The man with scars slowly made his way to my cell. Shit, what now?

The Young Lycanthrope instantly warned the man, "She's a Strigoi, my Alpha."

Wow thanks a lot, dog. The man looked unamused at the Lycanthropes comment.

"I can see that young Omega" Said the Alpha in a strict voice.

"The Strigoi broke the pact." Said the Omega as he stared at his Alpha in confusion.

The Alpha ignored the Omega and extended his hand out to greet me. Are Lycanthrope supposed to be this nice? I don't trust him.

"We have a lot to speak about, Catherine." The Alpha said nicely with his hand still extended in mid air.

I quickly stood up in surprise. This Stranger knew who I was. Another species knew who I was.

Okay, things aren't right here. But my gut told me to take a chance. He was the only opportunity I had left. And what else did I have to loose? Nothing. I shook his hand and stepped away.

The Omega stared at us in confusion. "You know her, my Alpha?" Asked the Omega.

"I've heard of her. Catherine, you shall come with us." Demanded the Alpha.

N to the O, I wasn't going anywhere. I mean what for? To become a squeaky chew toy?

"The name is Cat, and I 'shall' not go anywhere with you. I already did enough by talking to a forbidden species, I'm not going any further than that." I stated clearly.

I quickly stepped away from the bars with my back to the wall expecting to get my beating, but still facing the Lycanthropes.

The Alpha signaled the officer to open my cell, and the man did as he was told. The Alpha then extended his hand to me and signaled me to come out. But I was negligent.

"Cat... What if I told you, I know why your Father brought you here?" Asked the Alpha in an irritated voice.

"Then, I would call it bluff, my Father was out of his mind for bringing me here. You wouldn't know. But now that you're setting me free, I have no need to know why I'm here. I'll just be on out of this town once and for all. I'll leave your territory alone." I said confidently as I walked out of the cell.

The Alpha snapped his fingers and yet again I was inside the cell surrounded by Lycanthrope.

"Let me have a talk with Catherine, alone." demanded the Alpha to the others. Both Lycanthrope furiously stepped away as the Alpha stood uncomfortably close to me.

"Now Catherine, what you don't understand is that I do know why you are here. But I can not say if you refuse to come with me. But what I can say is that your Clan and your Father aren't who you think they are. I'll tell you everything I know, only if you join me." Said the Alpha as he extended his hand out to me... and I took it.

Darn, Lycanthrope, they're so manipulative.
