"Get up we don't have much time. We need to get out of here." The Omega demanded as I laid there on that metal table like a dummy.
He gave me one last look and I tried to get up as fast as I could but I was overtaken with excruciating pain. I groaned and yelped like a mad woman.
The Omega stared at me with pity and amusement before taking ahold of my arm and tossing me up on my feet like a rag doll. He was either much stronger than I was or I was really weak.
Loud footsteps and shooting echoed through the hallway. The Omega turned to see the door impatiently and pushed me forward instructing me to get moving.
I moved one foot after the other trying my best to ignore the burning sensation running up and down inside my body.
I was moving as fast I could but it wasn't fast enough for The Omega. "If you wanna get out of here, I suggest you keep your skinny little ass up to pace." The Omega scolded me.
I looked at him bitterly and continued to move forward.
The Omega huffed and gave me a what he seemed to think was a tiny little shove which threw me off my balance and sent me stumbling on to the ground.
My body slammed onto the cold concrete floor. I groaned as I felt the impact. I gasped for air once I was sprawled across the floor.
I turned to the left when I felt some sort of wetness. I flinched and wiggled around frantically like a snake when I saw the limp dead body of one of my torturers.
But before I could even react anymore a firm hand pulled me up on to my feet. The Omega looked directly at me intimidatingly close. "Get moving." He growled.
He let go of me and I almost tipped over like a tower. I looked down unwillingly to see the corpse that once had the intention of hurting me.
I bit my lip trying to hold back a scream. My body trembled at the sight of a dead, torn apart, bloody, carcass.
I felt the eyes of the Omega tearing through my soul as he signaled me to move. I immediately shook off my sight from the dead man and sent my vision to the dark hallway before the doorway.
I gulped down my fear and all the pain inside of me. I began to take longer and faster steps.
One after another, and another, and another. Right foot, left foot, right foot, left foot. Again and again. Keeping my feet straight and flat on the ground.
I concentrated on my steps that I did not realize what I was about to behold passing that doorway.
Right before my eyes I was about to view the evils that live in this world. The outcomes of war, battle, hate, revenge, strive for power. The malevolence that we have been hiding from for many years. The maliciousness that we have been trying to avoid for eternity.
As I looked up I experienced everything that was wrong with the existence of all creatures, human to supernatural.
What I saw made me doubt who was the real evil, the Lycanthrope or the Kynigos? Or are we all a product of a wicked curse? Are we all meant to brawl at no extent or is there a line to be drawn? And if there is a line than why are we not drawing it?
I heaved as I looked up to see a river of corpses scattered across the hallway floors and the concrete walls and steel doors painted with red blood.
I looked even closer and noticed that the bodies weren't just men, they were women, children. Dozens of people. "They deserved it." The Omega included as he noticed my reaction, "an eye for an eye." He said without remorse.
He yanked my arm and pulled me towards the bodies. He stepped on to them and he pulled me to do so too.
I glued my feet on to the ground in refusal. Grating my feet on the ground as he tried to pull me on.
After moments of me fighting to keep my respect for the dead, he finally triumphed. I weeped as I realized that I was standing on possibly innocent human beings.
Humans who got stuck between the cross fire of this heinous battle. He pulled me even further holding my body a slave to him.
I closed my eyes at the feeling of crunching bones of dead human bodies. And finally the crunching and the pulling ended. I opened my eyes to see the Omega staring at me with a smirk, "No wonder there's only four Strigoi left in this world." He said in amusement.
My blood boiled at the sound of his evil words. My mind took me to evil places at the idea of his terrible acts. I clenched my fists restricting myself from killing him or getting myself killed.
But my eyes blurred in anger. My heart beat began to speed up like a lion on the hunt. My breathing deepened and was much faster.
I began to taste blood in my mouth and what scared me most was that I loved the taste of it.
My lip began to twitch at the feeling of receding teeth in my mouth. I felt them with my tongue. They were sharp, they were mine.
I focused on the Omega he stared at me uncomfortably or confused. He got closer to me acting like he wasn't intimidated. "Quit messing around, stop standing there like an idiot. Can you not hear me talking to you? What the heck is wrong with you?" He asked and demanded in an insensitive tone.
But no, I could hear him. I could hear everything. I widened my eyes at all the noises. From miles away I could hear a car and radio.
I listened closely, "Alert.... The base has been infiltrated. 24 dead. 14 escaped. Over." I heard muffling through the car radio.
"Who escaped? Who is dead? I need names.... Walker is he alright? Is your brother alright?" An impatient and tortured voice responded into the radio.
"Sir. I'm sorry. Walker is dead but he had an honorable death. He died defending his base." A voice responded stiffly.
"Head to Alkanse. We'll prepare for our next attack. This isn't over yet. They will pay. They may have won this battle but all they will win is extermination of their kind. Over."
I gasped as I was shaken by the Omega. I stared at him in surprise and in fear.
He looked at me in irritation. All the anger that I was feeling before had gone away. The teeth, the fangs, they were gone. I caught my breath, "They are planning an attack. A final attack." I warned.
"What are you talking about?" The Omega asked in an ignoring tone.
"I heard them. The Kynigos I heard them. You killed the leaders' son, Walker." I stopped as I realized that an innocent man, a man whose true intentions were to help his kind, and me.
I began to think that maybe if I wouldn't have made him take me here than he wouldn't be dead. It was all my fault.
I broke down on the ground weeping for another loss, for everyone. The Omega stared at me in confusion and in attention. He lowered himself down to face me.
"Explain yourself." He demanded. "I felt an Orge and I could hear them speaking through the radio. The leader is angry he's planning his last and final attack. He's gonna kill all of you." I said through my tears.
Loud footsteps came closer from down the corner. The Omega turned. I looked up to see five young men.
The Omega took my hand and picked me up on my feet. "What's an orge? How do you know all of this?" The Omega asked and the group stared at us in confusion.
"I don't know how it works I can't even understand it myself. But all I know is that I'm not safe with you. I have to go." I said wiping off my tears.
The Omega stared at me bitterly. "You do realize the only reason we went through this is because the Alpha wanted us to get you back. So you aren't leaving. On the contrary your running with the wolves tonight." The omega ordered.
