ENDING 1
THE ENDING WHERE THEY DON'T REMEMBER ANYTHING FROM THE BORDERLANDS
I WAS washing my hands as I looked at myself in the mirror.
I sighed and dried them when I put my ring back on and grabbed my bag.
Walking through the filled cafe I looked outside to see the commotion on the streets.
Three guys were spinning around without a care in the world as they caused two cars to bump into each other.
They ran away and I slightly shook my head when fireworks appeared.
I furrowed my eyebrows when after a while they didn't look like fireworks anymore.
"Ma'am! Ma'am, can you hear me?"
I slowly opened my eyes with a huge headache.
"Check her vitals!"
"She's breathing!"
"She's alive! We need a stretcher!"
"Resume CPR. Okay."
"We need a gurney here! Now! Hurry!"
I laid in a hospital bed when for once I wasn't in one to work.
But to heal.
"Misa!" A voice I knew all too well spoke and I looked to my side groaning as she hugged me "I'm so happy to see you again!"
"Mei.. what happened? I don't really-" She pulled away.
"I was so scared, the doctors said that when they finally found your body, your heart had completely stopped."
I groaned again "What do you mean, Mei?"
"A whole minute went by. They said that for that minute, the borderlands had taken you."
I chuckled slightly.
"It definitely felt longer than that. Where's mom?" I asked.
Mei smiled "She had to go to the restroom, she'll be here soon."
"Oh and, Misa?" Mei looked at me with something in her hand.
"What is it?"
"Do you wear hats?" She asked and I looked at her in confusion "I don't, why? What do you mean?"
"The doctor said that this was clung to the waistband of your pants."
She held a blue hat in her hands and I looked back up at her "That's not mine.. It seems familiar though." I said and she scrunched her eyebrows in confusion.
"Weird.. what are you gonna do with it?" She asked "I don't know, probably nothing. I'll just put it in a drawer."
"Alright." Mei sighed.
"Alright, did you get anything from downstairs for me?" I groaned "No, they were still baking your favorite when we got there."
"Hmm, okay then." I said sitting up too quickly making me dizzy.
"I don't think you're supposed to walk yet, Misa." Mei rolled her eyes.
"Do I look like I care? I just need to be careful." I sighed slowly standing up and hissing at the pain in my leg.
"I should probably use these.." I said limping towards the crutches that gave me support.
"And I should probably go with you." Mei said and I sighed "I need some time for myself, to clear my head." She rolled her eyes and sat back down.
I was about to walk out the door when my mother appeared.
"Misa!" She gasped as she took me in her arms and I groaned.
"I was so scared.." I coughed and she let me go as I smiled at her "Where are you going? Shouldn't you lay in bed?" She asked worriedly.
"I need some air mom." I chuckled.
"Okay, be careful."
Limping through the halls I wondered where my dad had been, he wasn't here that's for sure.
He was probably at work, or-
I almost fell back if it wasn't for the support of my crutches and a hand on my arm.
I hissed because of the cuts all over my body "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you."
The guy said as his voice sounded quite deep but also not, if that makes sense.
I inspected him intensely, he had whiteish-blondish hair and dark eyes which I found a hint of familiarity in, had I met him before?
"Oh don't worry, It's kind of my fault I wasn't paying attention. I'm sorry.. but have we met before?" I asked unsurely.
"I don't think so.. but have a good day ma'am." He said and I watched him disappear.
I scrunched my eyebrows in confusion but walked further as I felt like I had just experienced deja vu.
4 MONTHS LATER
It was finally time for me to get back to work and when I walked into the break room I was welcomed warmly as I smiled at everyone.
I got ready as I was about to check on a few patients their vitals.
"Misa?" A colleague of mine asked and I turned around "Yeah?"
There were two people standing in front of me.
"The person who trained him sadly passed away in the same meteorite disaster as you, and since there are no doctors available to properly train him further at the moment, could you train him? I know you've got more experience than the other nurses, It's just for a little."
I looked at the man next to him who seemed familiar.
Whiteish-blondish hair..? I was sure I had seen it before.
"Yeah of course, come on." I said to him.
"Thank you so much, Misa. It's just for a little while."
"Really, it's no problem." I smiled as we went to walk through the walls.
"Hey, don't I know you from somewhere, you just seem so familiar." I looked at him more thoroughly.
"Maybe, I've been getting trained here in the same hospital as you for a couple years now, I just got back today as well." He said.
"No, it's more than that I just can't seem to put a finger on it."
"Maybe, you bumped into me once a few months ago. That's where I recognized you from." He said and my mouth formed an 'O' shape.
"Yeah that's it.. I'm Misa, by the way."
"Chishiya."
We stood in front of a door to a patient's room when I turned to him.
"Promise me you'll listen to everything I say?"
"I promise, Misa."
