Walking through the hallways as the smell of cheap perfume and hospital food filled my nose, I was looking for someone.

"Excuse me.." I said and an older woman looked up at me.

"Yes.." She replied in a tired voice.

"Is this Misa's room?" I asked her as she nodded "Is she okay?" I furrowed my eyebrows confused.

But the woman I assumed was her mom started breaking down again.

The younger girl next to her turned up at me

"She's dead.."

"Huh?" My breath hitched in the back of my throat and I furrowed my eyebrows "In a coma?"

"Dead."

"No, you're.." I sighed when I looked into her room.

"Look for yourself.."

I walked towards the hospital bed where she lied in.

It wasn't until I looked at her face that my stomach sank and I immediately felt the same gnawing feeling I felt before I went to look for her.

I hovered a bit over her as I held her hand.

I noticed the bedsheet around her hand get slightly wet.

I felt something roll down my cheek, something I hadn't felt in years, and soon enough tears started falling, and I didn't hold them back.

I let it be.

"God, Misa. I'm so sorry.. I." I looked up at the ceiling.

"Why did it have to be you, why not me.."

"Misa, I love you. I even looked for you like I promised, I.."
