"Muzan?!" I yelled.

"No time for talking." He said, grabbing my hand.

"Muzan!" Yoriichi walked over to him and made him face him.

"Just what do you think you're doing? Barging into my apartment and approaching Y/N like that?" He yelled.

"None of your business. Now get out of my way!" Muzan glared at him. He tightened his grip on my hand.

Yoriichi grabbed Muzan's hair and pulled him closer to him.

"Want me to slice you open again?" Yoriichi whispered.

Yoriichi looked at me, then at Muzan.

"You're the one who almost killed Douma. You also turned him into a demon again, am I right?

"Let go of my hair." Muzan said.

Yoriichi didn't move an inch.

"I SAID LET-"

Muzan was about to punch Yoriichi, but halted.

Michikatsu stood next to Yoriichi.

"Muzan, please don't hurt my brother. I've hurt him enough already." Michikatsu cried.

"You're crying, Michikatsu. Someone like you is actually crying? I'm shocked." Muzan said.

Muzan looked at Yoriichi again.

"Yoriichi, I was afraid of you. But now I'm not. You can do whatever you want to me. Cut me up. Beat the shit out of me. I don't care." Muzan said.

Muzan tugged at my hand and pulled me up. He put his hand around my waist.

"I'm stronger than you. And I always will be. Would you like to know why?" He said.

"As if I give a damn." Yoriichi said.

Muzan pushed a strand of my hair behind my ear and kissed the side of my face.

"Y/N is the one who helped me to conquer sunlight and I am now the strongest on this planet. No one can dare defeat me." Muzan said.

He looked at Yoriichi and gave him a sly look.

"Not even you." He said.

Yoriichi clenched his fist.

"I wish I could travel back in time and kill you." He said.

"Hah, then I'll surely wait for you." Muzan said.

He paused.

"Yoriichi."

Muzan let go of me then walked out of the apartment.

I stood there in shock, still trying to process everything.

Yoriichi walked over to me and held my face. I could feel my eyes watering up.

"No...no...please don't cry Y/N. Not now." Yoriichi said, hugging me.

Michikatsu came over and hugged both of us.

I heard Yoriichi's muffled cries.

-

"Y/N, be sure to visit me again. Alright?" Yoriichi said.

"I will, don't worry." I said.

"Well then, take care. And tell your family that I said hello." Yoriichi said.

We hugged eachother. He walked away, while I turned around and took a deep breath as I opened my door.

I hope my parents are alright now, especially with that Muzan situation.

As soon as I opened the door, I immediately closed it.

The sickening smell that immediately hit my face was strong enough to burn my insides.

"What the hell..." I said to myself.

I took a deep breath and opened the door again. I almost fell to my knees.

There was blood stains everywhere.

I fought the courage to go inside.

And I regret it.

My whole family was laying in a corner. Drenched in blood.

"No...no..."

"...not again..."

"...this can't be real..."

"NOT AGAIN!!!!!!" I screamed.

I fell to the ground and put my hands over my face.

"Y/N?!?!"

I heard Yoriichi.

"What the...no way..." I felt Yoriichi's arms wrap around me. I looked at him in defeat.

"Y/N...I'm so sorry. I'm really sorry. I didn't know something like this would happen." Yoriichi wept.

I cuddled into his chest and cried.

He stroked the back of my hair.

"I'm sorry Y/N. You don't deserve any of this...at all." Yoriichi said.

"Yoriichi...it happened again..." I said.

"What do you mean?" He said.

"Muzan killed my family before...and now he's killed them again..." I whispered.

-

"How are you feeling, Y/N?" Yoriichi said.

"Better, I suppose." I said.

"That's good. I know how you must be feeling." Yoriichi said.

He paused.

"You can live with me if you want."

"Really?!" I sprung up.

"Of course." He smiled.

I went over to him and gave him a big hug.

"Oh, Yoriichi! I'd love to live with you!!" I cried.

Why do I feel so normal?

My whole family just died. Why am I even acting like this?

Maybe I'm just used to this whole thing?

"And I'll promise to protect you. No matter what it takes." Yoriichi said, holding my hands.

Or maybe when I'm with Yoriichi, I completely forget about everything else.

The doorbell.

"I'm getting used to this now." Yoriichi sighed.

He walked over to the door and opened it.

"Hakuji!!!" I yelled.

"Y/N!! I heard what happened to your family...I'm so sorry..." Hakuji said.

"Wait, how do you know about them?" I said.

Hakuji looked to the right and nodded.

Yoriichi looked back at me, an uneasy look on his face.

Hakuji moved out of the way. And in his place, there was a man with gold and red hair, carrying someone in his arms. It was a young boy. He was unconscious, with a few small scratches over his face.

The man was the one we met from the train station.

And the boy that he was carrying in his arms...

Tanjiro.
