"Oh! They're finally here."
"What took you both so long?"
"Y/N!!!"
Tanjiro started crying and hugged me.
"Tanjiro...I'm so glad you're alive, at least." I whispered.
Tanjiro gave a hiccup.
"It wasn't Muzan that killed our family this time..." He said.
"What?" I looked at him in shock.
"It was someone else. I don't remember what they looked like. It wasn't a demon...though...I mean it didn't smell like a demon." Tanjiro said.
"Tanjiro...demons can't be real." I said.
Tanjiro gave a sigh. He looked behind me, where Yoriichi was standing and gave a faded smile.
"Yoriichi told me that he doesn't mind both of us living with him." Tanjiro said.
"Really? That's perfect!" I exclaimed.
"Yeah." Tanjiro said.
-
"So Hakuji, how did you meet Rengoku?" Yoriichi asked.
"At a donut shop." Hakuji said.
"A donut shop?" I laughed.
"Yeah, well...you see. We both saw this chocolate donut that looked extremely delicious. We both wanted it, and then-"
"-we fought over it." Rengoku finished off Hakuji's sentence.
"You fought over a donut?" Tanjiro said.
"It's not my fault Kyojuro seemed so desperate for it!" Hakuji said.
"I wasn't desperate!" Rengoku said.
"You were!"
"No, YOU were!"
"You-"
"Guys...guys...calm down." Tanjiro gave a nervous laugh.
"Pfft. Kyojuro seems to be getting too aggressive lately." Hakuji said.
"Hahahaha...aggressive? Not a chance!" Rengoku laughed.
The doorbell. Once again.
Yoriichi got up nervously and walked to the door. As if he was expecting this.
He opened the door. There was a young woman standing outside. She had black hair and black eyes. She looked as though she was the same age as me.
She began crying after seeing Yoriichi.
"Yoriichi...I thought you forgot about me..." She said.
"Uta...?" Yoriichi stared at her.
"Yes...it's me Yoriichi..."
She looked down.
"...your wife."
Wife?
Yoriichi is married?
I walked towards him.
"Yoriichi, you never told me you had a wife. Or a brother. Or anything!!" I yelled.
"Y/N...I can explain-"
"NO! I don't want to hear anything!" I yelled at him.
I wiped a tear and walked past his wife, completely ignoring everyone that called my name.
-
I stopped near a park and sat down on an empty bench.
Yoriichi did all of this, while being married to someone else.
That's messed up.
Really messed up.
And the fact that he's hidden so many things from me.
Can I even trust him anymore?
I put my hands over my face and cried.
"Y/N? What's the matter?"
I looked up. Muzan sat down next to me.
"Great. I just had to imagine you at this moment, didn't I?" I said.
"Imagine me? What are you talking about?" Muzan said.
"You aren't real. Nothing's real." I sighed.
Muzan leaned forward and kissed me.
"Now that's real." He said, pulling away.
Maybe I'm not imagining him this time.
"I bet you have a wife too." I said.
Muzan looked at me in disgust.
"Wife? No thanks. Women don't satisfy me." Muzan said.
His face softened.
"But..."
His traced the side of my face with his finger.
"...I'd love to marry you, if I'm being honest." He said.
My eyes widened.
"Now, tell me what's wrong. Why do you seem so upset?" Muzan said.
"I found out that Yoriichi had a wife all this time." I said.
"What a pity. Such a vulgar man. You wasted your time on him, when you could've spent it with me instead." Muzan said.
I gave a sigh.
"Now I don't even feel comfortable living with him." I said.
"Oh, right. I heard about your family. And I apologise." Muzan said.
Muzan apologising?
Is he for real?
"It's fine." I said.
Muzan put his arm around me.
"Why don't you live with me instead?" He whispered.
I gulped.
"I don't know-"
Muzan immediately picked me up and placed me on his lap. He gave a smirk.
How is he so strong?
I looked at him awkwardly.
"I'll show you more of me, if you choose to come with me." Muzan said.
I took a deep breath.
"Alright." I said.
His eyes widened.
"Perfect." He said.
-
Muzan lived in a large mansion. He seemed to be extremely prestigious.
His bedroom was the size of Yoriichi's whole apartment.
"Do you live alone, Muzan?" I said in surprise.
"Yes, but I get regular visitors here and there." He said.
"I see." I said.
Muzan threw himself on his bed.
"Y/N, come lay down beside me." He said.
"Sure." I said, walking towards him.
I slowly laid down next to Muzan, facing him.
He gazed into my eyes.
"It feels nice having you beside me, like this." He said.
He looked at me expectantly.
"Would you like to take things further?" He said.
Yeah, if I do that then his wife will show up on his door the next day.
Just like the Yoriichi situation.
"I don't have a wife, I swear. If that's what you keep worrying about." Muzan said.
"Fine. Just do whatever you want." I said.
Muzan smirked.
"Wonderful. I'm going to enjoy destroying you, tonight." He said, indulging into a kiss.
