Elena Dursley, Harry's cousin, gets taken into the Chamber Of Secrets by Ginny (Tom Riddle) and gets swallowed by the basilisk. Ginny (Tom) temporarily paralysed (poisoned) her so she can't move.
The stomach acid is very strong, only her hair, right side of face, right shoulder and breast, right arm and right waist are unaffected, the rest are horribly melted.
The burns can't be healed at all (only prevented from spreading) and stay painful, plus they burn (melt) anything that touches it, so Nicolas Flamel makes a special artefact suit for her (ironically, made out of materials gathered from the basilisk that swallowed her) that stops the pain (and covers the disfigured burns).
The artefact is matte black with purple runes. She has to open a part when going to the bathroom (which hurts), so she invents a spell to clean her bowels.
She asks if she can learn alchemy from Nicolas and he agrees, first teaching her at his house (Fidelius charm, only Nicolas, Perenelle and Elena know the secret), then through a two-way mirror. She calls them Grandpa Nic and Grandma Nellie.
