Xavier's presence in the class is commanding and cold. He looks distant, maybe even cruel, but this doesn't make him any less handsome. All the girls are suddenly adjusting their skirts or fixing their hair, and Miss Grey seems to have forgotten how to breathe. Everyone is staring at him and I can't help but feel the urge to pluck out the eyes of the girls staring at him.

Xavier is now giving a speech about the different ways that the internship will help us and I try to focus on what he is saying, but all I can do is stare at his lips.

I wonder how it will feel to kiss those lips.

I mentally slap myself. For a girl with a virgin white mind, I am definitely acting weird. Why do I want to kiss a guy who I barely know?

Suddenly, the whole class is clapping as Xavier comes to the end of his speech, and finally, its the moment everyone has been waiting for as Xavier announces the positions that my classmates will be working in. It goes in alphabetical order until, my name is called.

"Candy Greene", says Miss Grey, and I stand up.

Xavier gives a small smirk and I begin to wonder what position he will give me.

He clears his throat, "Miss Greene, I would like you to work at my main business as my personal assistant."

I nearly choke. Is he kidding? I know nothing about being a personal assistant. And if I'm his personal assistant, it means I would be spending practically the whole day with him. I don't know how I feel about that, but as I open my mouth to complain, Xavier gives me a death glare.

"Before you ask, Miss Greene, no, you cannot switch work positions. I picked you as my personal assistant due to your high knowledge of business and mathematics, and your talent in the debate clubs, which I feel will come in handy for your work". Xavier's tone is final, leaving no room for argument, and I stare awkwardly at my feet, feeling like a reprimanded child, as he continues announcing student's names and work positions.

When Xavier is done announcing who will be working where, his business employees separate us into groups and take us to the various divisions of his huge business empire. Audrey is chosen to work in the fashion department and she is very pleased. She is chatting with some cheerleaders who are also going to be working with her.

Lucky her.

I feel alone as I go with Xavier to his main office, which is in one of the swankiest parts of town. Since I was the only one chosen to work in Xavier's main office, I am the only one in the car, apart from the driver. Xavier had to rush off somewhere- probably a meeting.

When we finally arrive at Xavier's office, I gasp aloud. The building is huge and gorgeously decorated, with the words Reyes Industries, written on the side. When I step inside, I am overawed. If possible, the building is even more beautiful from the inside, and was obviously designed with taste. At the receptionists desk, I see a pretty blonde who looks fresh out of college, and when she sees me, she rushes over.

"Hello Miss Greene", she says in a beautiful clear voice. Mr Reyes informed me of your arrival. I'm Linda, Mr Reyes personal secretary.

I smile at her and she leads me to an elevator, and presses the button that will take us to the top floor. There are three rooms on this floor, and Linda tells me that the smaller one will be my office. She shows me in, makes sure that I get settled and tells me how to make appointments for Mr Reyes as that will be my main job.

"I hope you enjoy yourself here", Linda grins at me

"Thank you so much Linda, and I will", I smile as she makes her way to her office, to get some work done.

I look at my desk which is full of all sort of work and I wonder when Xavier will come in, if he will come in at all. I am oddly disappointed by the possibility of him not coming to the office today, and I mentally try to shake off my feelings.

You have work to do Candy, the voice in my head chides me.

I sigh as I pick up the first sheet of paper on my desk and pick up the office phone to make an appointment.

Its past five when I finally, finish all the work set out for me, and I kind of enjoyed it. I was just wondering whether I should pack up and go home when Xavier Reyes walked into my office. He looked at me in surprise.

"Are you done with all your work?", he questioned

"Yes  Mr Reyes", I said, trying not to smile or react, I was so worried that he would not come in today. Control yourself, my inner voice rolls her eyes at me in disgust. I can not believe that I am tripping over myself for some playboy billionaire. This is nothing like the cool calm and serious Candy that I am used to.

"Have you eaten at all today Miss Greene?"

Suddenly, I remember that I have not eaten at all today and I guess it must show on my face because Xavier instantly frowns.

"You need to eat Miss Greene" , he said sternly, almost menacingly. "Did  you make a reservation at Aguacate Restaurant like I asked", he said.

I nodded mutely.

"Good  let's go right now." He doesn't even give me a chance to accept or decline, he just grabs his coat and strides off.

I was speechless as we went down in the elevator and the obvious tension between us was not helping. Xavier just kept staring at his phone, and I had the feeling that he was avoiding any conversation. We continued in silence to his black Mercedes and into the restaurant which was near his office and the glitziest place that I had ever been in.
