"Hah. No. It's over between us. We AREN'T friends anymore."

Rain started pouring as Nezuko walked back to her dormitory.
The girl had an umbrella. But she didn't bother to open it. She wanted the wetness to soak her hair.
"Nezuko-chan! You're back- wait- what's wrong?" It was Aoi.
Nezuko threw her bag aside a bit harder than she meant to. "Nothing. Absolutely nothing. I'm FINE."
Aoi rolled her eyes, "Well, at least tell me why you're soaking wet."
"Because I feel like it!" Nezuko snapped at Aoi.
Then she stormed off to her room.
"Hey, NEZUKO!" Aoi called.
A month had passed since Nezuko started dating Zenitsu. They were in the month of February.
Usually, being so close to Valentine's day, she would face call her family. But she was very busy that year.
Twice a week, Zenitsu would ask her to go on a date with him. And every time, she'd say that she was too busy.
Nezuko also started to neglect people. She talked way less than usual, and spend most of her free time locked up in her dorm.
At mealtime, she would eat quietly. No sharing details of the day with Aoi. No friendly conversations or phone calls.
She started neglecting her schedule. If dinner was at six o'clock, she would probably eat at seven. Aoi would wait for an hour. When she finally came, the food was cold and dry.
"Nezuko-chan!" Aoi tried again, "Zenitsu-kun asked you to go to the cinema with him!"
"Tell him I'm busy." Nezuko replied from inside her room.
Aoi sighed, "But their playing Kimetsu no Yaiba! I know it's your favorite!"
"No, I'm studying for that major course test!"
Just then, someone knocked on the door.
"Coming!"
The door swung open.
"MAOIIII!!!! MAKE ME SOME FOOD!" It was Inosuke.
"Hai, come in..."
Aoi took her boyfriend to the table. She stepped into the kitchen and returned with a plate full of ohagi.
"YUM!" Inosuke shouted.
"Great..."
Inosuke clearly knew that something was wrong.
"Hey, Aoi-chan, what's wrong?" He asked.
Aoi sighed, "Nothing..."
"Hey, don't say that! I'm your boyfriend, remember? You can tell me anything?"
"Well..."
"Go on," Inosuke urged.
Aoi forced herself to talk, "Nezuko-chan spends all her time studying and she barely talks to me or her boyfriend when he asks her out!"
"Really? It's Monitsu- Zenitsu isn't it?"
"Hai, they're dating. But even the smartest person in Tokyo would've thought they weren't..."
Inosuke hesitated, "Well... what about that milk tea shop you were telling me about?"
Aoi was puzzled, "What do you mean?"
Suddenly, Inosuke's face lit up, "THAT'S IT! Tell Mon-ZENitsu to take Monjiro's sister to the milk tea shop she loves so much!"
"AWW! Inosuke-kun, that's perfect! Arigatou!!!" Aoi said.
Inosuke smiled and kissed her cheek.
"Nezuko, Zenitsu-kun wants you to go with him to the milk tea shop!" Aoi held her breath, hoping this would work.
To her relief, Nezuko opened the door.
"Really?" She asked.
"Hai! Come on, let's get you ready!"
Nezuko's face lit up, "Alright!"
Minutes later, Nezuko looked like this.
"Nezuko-chan! You came!" Zenitsu said when he saw his girlfriend.
"HAI!"
Not that I actually came here for you, gomenasai, Zenitsu-kun. But I actually came so I could see Mui-kun.... Nezuko felt guilty. Zenitsu was so kind to her.
"Ano... let's go in!" Zenitsu held the door open for Nezuko.
Just like Mui-kun did....
They took a seat. Then, a familiar face appeared.
"What can I get you today- NEZUKO!?" It was Muichiro.
"Mui-kun!"
Muichiro grimaced, which made Nezuko's heart fall, "What are YOU doing here?"
He glared at Zenitsu and the girl.
"I want to-" The young boy cut the girl off.
"If you don't want to see me, I'll call Yuichiro onii-san or Gyutaro-sama." Muichiro was about to leave, but Nezuko caught his arm.
"WAIT! The only reason I came here was to talk to you! You've got to listen!"
Muichiro narrowed his eyes, but nodded, "Fine. What do you have to say."
"Well..." Nezuko began,
"SPIT IT OUT!" Muichiro demanded, making the girl back away.
Zenitsu spoke up, "Don't talk to my girlfriend that way!"
"STOP!" Both boys stopped glaring at each other and looked at Nezuko.
"Zenitsu-kun, I just need to tell Mui-kun something-"
"Don't call me that name!"
Nezuko wanted to cry, but she choked it back and ignored him, "Mui- TOKITO-san. Just answer me."
Muichiro rolled his eyes.
"Promise me that even if we're separated, we'll still be friends! Just promise me!"
Suddenly, the boy with black faded into turquoise hair slammed the table. He laughed bitterly and headed for the kitchen. Before he entered, he turned his head slightly and said,
"Hah. No. It's over between us. We AREN'T friends anymore."
