Author- reread the first chapters authors note. everything that happened in the obx show happened in this book already. the only differences are that the hot tub scene never happened and all luke scenes are recreated. but john b still went to jail and came back. if you are confused at all please ask questions in the comments. i'm obviously not a professional writer 😅 but i'm trying my best. tell me if you see a mistake (and bro obx in a DAY)

There were some terrible women on that bus. She saw a little too much blood on one girl's scalp, and she was positive a little of the student's braids were ripped off.

They each had a look. It wasn't what she expected. They are actually insane. The more she thought, the more she hurt. Her parents didn't think she was like them, did they?

She spared a glance to the bus driver, who was a burly looking man. Kiara then looked out the window, where her mother was waving goodbye. That woman would deny it, but her daughter saw her tears. And then she saw her father's.

One girl was chewing off her acrylic nails, looking about ready to bite the Carrera as well. So she sat to the way back, avoiding eye contact and retreating into her jacket.

"I couldn't hate this more." John B groaned.

Sarah tried her best, but her laugh triggered Pope's laugh. Maybe the Wreck's uniforms weren't all that great. The Routledge boy hated the polo more than he thought.

Pope looked quite respectful. It reminded him of his scholarship interview. Sarah looked like a regular model, and John B made sure to let her know.

"Thank you, Vlad."

"As you were Val."

"Yes, thank you, that's enough." Pope rolled his eyes, grabbing a rag and gesturing to the front surface. "I'll start with the front tables, you guys keep the counter neat."

Sarah's grin dropped, but she followed directions. Day one was only a test run, but as said before, it was better than nothing.

Except by noon, it was beginning to piss them all off. John B was the first to speak up in a less than friendly manner.

"JJ wouldn't do this shit. JJ didn't do this shit when I was in jail." He huffed a breath, nearly dropping a ketchup stained plate in the process. "We should visit the jail, take out a loan, or bust him out! This'll take forever!"

"Did we suddenly forget that JJ's thinking almost got us all killed? Drug deal ring a bell?" The mathlete continued to sweep.

The blonde girl slammed her hands on the table. "You're both clueless." She stood, discarding her apron and marching toward the doors.

Since both boys were still staring, she turned around to clap her hands. "Follow me, jeez!"

So they did.

"We're going on break!!"

Pope and John B, just as clueless as she'd expected, followed her back to the Twinkie where she slammed the doors shut.

"Are we going on another adventure?" John B sounded like an excited four year old.

"Please don't do that Val/Vlad shit again. I'm already having trouble keeping that greasy shit down."

Sarah was still silent, drawing on a random shirt she'd found stuffed in the back. One she popped the top back on the black marker, they could both see what she'd done.

"Here is JJ." She pointed with her finger. "We are here. We bust him out. Take him to Yucatán."

The Routledge boy actually started laughing. "Yucatán?? He's been spitting that idea since day one."
