Mibuchi Reo's POV:
Yukimura Yui was a strange man whom had surprisingly commanded attention from the very first day that he transferred here at Rakuzan. From the way he walked, the way he talked, and the way he moved, everyone knew that he was a force to be reckoned with.
It wasn't that he had the intimidating aura like Sei-chan. In fact, he seemed like exact opposite of our dear Captain. Despite the cold look in his gray eyes he had this sort of warm and sort of fatherly feeling around him that made it hard for anyone to hate the guy despite his bluntness. Also, his very presence was unusually calming.
Maybe that's why Sei-chan tolerates his attitude towards him and kept him by his side.
Or maybe it was because of a different reason? I wonder.
I've seen how Sei-chan looks at him. How he often stole glances of at Yukimura-kun from time to time. How he glares at the other guys that approached him which I found odd. The same goes with the girls who were always approaching the kid or confessing their exaggerated undying love for the man. Not that I could blame them since Yukimura had always acted like a perfect gentleman towards them that had always managed to sweep them off their feet. Even when he was rejecting them, like now.
"Uhmm... Yukimura-san..." a girl called out to him timidly while he was walking beside Sei-chan, as usual, making the girl look at the captain nervously.
"Hm?" Yuki-chan hummed in reply as he turned his attention to the young lady with a warm smile. "Is there anything I can help you with, miss?" He asked her, his cold gray eyes looking at her with warmth behind while Sei-chan looked at the girl coldly.
"Uhm... I..." The girl started to say nervously while he only smiled at her warmly making her blush.
"I'll just meet you and the Student Council Room." Sei-chan told him with a sigh and continued on his way towards the said place..
The girl sighed in what seemed like relief as soon as he had left. Of course, this didn't escape his eyes. He was after all, very observant of everything.
"I apologize if he intimidates you, miss." he said with gently. "He's a bit of protective of me for some reason you see." He added with a soft chuckle.
"U-uhmm.. I- I didn't know t-that..." The girl stuttered in reply with her face flushed as he nodded smiling with his eyes closed.
"Well, is there anything I could help you with?" he asked her, the same gentle smile on his face while she stared at him with a scarlet blush dusting her face.
"Uhm... Y-Yukimura-san... I- I like you! Please go out with me!" The girl suddenly exclaimed loudly surprising both of us before shutting her eyes from embarrassment I guess.
Silence surrounded them while I just watched him slowly open his eyes to look at the lady before in front of him. His gray eyes were calculating. It was obvious that he was going to reject the poor lady as well but then I guess it's better than keeping their hopes up.
He pursed his lips and bit them. Clearly, he didn't want to hurt that young girl's feelings on what he about to do but rejection did hurt like hell no matter how gently you put them.
"I'm sorry, mi'lady." He said as he kneeled before the girl while taking her hand in his.
Her eyes fluttered open, pain etched in them as she looked down at him with a tint of admiration lingering in them for the man before her.
"But I'm afraid that I can't go out with you." He added with a sad look on his face as his mind worked overtime on choosing the right words to say but I guess he decided that not saying a word was the best choice since he kept silent for a long while until the girl spoke.
"I-is there s-someone else that Yukimura-san likes?" She asked, earning a surprised look from the man before her.
"Hm. I wonder." He simply replied with smile. "I'm not sure myself. Since my main priority at the moment is to provide assistance to the Student Council President." he added truthfully before letting go of the girl's hand and stood up began dusting his pants.
"Uhm... Yukimura-san..." The girl called out to him again with a bit of hesitation in her voice.
"Hm?" Was his only reply as he pushed up his glasses up on the bridge of his nose.
"Uhm.. Do you by chance... like Akashi-san?" She said, earning another pair of wide eyes from the both of us.
'Could it be possible?' I thought to myself as I eagerly watched and listened for his answer.
He was silently for a few seconds. Dumbstruck and surprised by the question of the young lady in front of him. Until I saw his lips twitch as he started covering his mouth while his body started to shake and heard him snort.
Was he laughing?
Apparently, the same question was written on the girl's face making her slowly back away from Yukimura until he grabbed her hand and pulled her gently.
"Young miss, I don't know what it is that made you come up with that conclusion. But I assure you, I am not interested in the President that way." Yukimura said with a light chuckle. "I am truly thankful for your feelings and likewise I am very sorry that I couldn't return them." He added before placing a quick kiss on the young lady's hand that made her blush while he just smiled there with an innocent look on his face like he had done nothing out of the ordinary, at least for him.
"Uhm... I-I should go..." the girl stuttered as she pulled her hand away from his and covered her face before running away from embarrassment while he watched her.
"You can come out now. Reo-nee." He said, startling me. "I know you're there." He added with a low chuckle that made my heart skip a bit.
Yukimura Yui was a strange man whom had surprisingly commanded attention from the very first day that he transferred here at Rakuzan. From the way he walked, the way he talked, and the way he moved, everyone knew that he was a force to be reckoned with.
And I was completely enchanted by him.
