Akashi's POV

It started out with a game.

----

Score 30-29

"YATA!!! WE WON!" She cheered as soon as the buzzer went off. Her light brown hair that she had tied into a messed up ponytail bounced as she jumped. "I can't believe it, we won! Take that BAkashi!" she exclaimed as she stuck her tongue out at me. The little brat.

'Damn. Now I have to face a week without any entertainment.' I thought to myself as I watched her do that odd victory dance that she does whenever she wins at something against me.

"I never knew (first name)-chin could play..." Murasakibara said in a bored tone, though his eyes looked at her with new found interest.

"I'll finally get a week off!!! Thanks Kuroko!" She exclaimed before suddenly hugging the teal haired boy that was standing beside her making the man suddenly stiffen.

"It's nothing (first name)-san." the boy replied as a light pink hue dusted his cheeks.

"Stop acting like he's the only one who helped you, nanodayo!" Shintaro complained, glaring daggers at the two.

"(First name)! Let go of Tetsu!!!" Momoi whined as she ran towards the two.

"Thank you to you too, Tsun-tsun~" she said in a sing-song voice as she let go of the shadow and turned her attention to the green haired boy and slowly approached the tall man with a mischievous on her face.

Honestly, she looked like an idiot.

"Stop calling me that, nanodayo!" the male said in annoyance as he in turn slowly backed away... in what looked like fear...

"I like you too Shintaro." she said, laughing with a huge smile on her face, as she hugged the tall male.

"I... It's not like I said I like you, nanodayo!" the man retorted as he tried to suppress a smile. His face betrayed him though. It was red as a tomato.

It was obvious to the whole team that he liked her. It was obvious to everyone but her. She was just as dense as they come... Talk about someone who's been researching about love and still doesn't see it when it's right under her nose. Idiot.

"Eh?? If (first name)-chin also likes Mido-chin... Does this mean that you two are going out now?" Atsushi drawled while consuming a bag of chips, his amethyst eyes watching them.

Wait... What did he just say?!

"Eh?" was all she could say as she looked at the purple giant in confusion. "What are you talking about, Atsushi?" she asked only to be ignored by the male.

"What Murasakibara-kun is trying to say (first name)-san is... Midorima-kun likes you." Tetsuya said in his usual monotone as he stood beside her.

"Eeeeh?! Tsun-tsun likes me?!" She said in surprise, her gray orbs widening at the sudden information given to her.

"Urusei!!! It's not like I want to go out with you, nanodayo! Baka!" the words left his mouth before he even thought of what he was saying. Idiot.

With that said, I turned my full attention towards her and what I saw on her face, for some odd reason, made my heart skip a beat.

Her pale face was as red as Shintaro's as she looked at the male with a hand covering her mouth. What exactly was happening?

A million questions started popping into my head. Accompanied by an uneasy feeling that was so foreign to me as the uncomfortable silence in the room stretched from seconds to minutes... Why wasn't she saying anything?

"Akashi-san?" I heard Tetsuya say but I ignored him as I stared at her.

Taking a deep breath, I opened my mouth before I could stop myself and the words that left my tongue were the words that I didn't quite expect not do I know the reason why I said them.
