"Christian!"
"Red panda!"
"Red ferret!" everyone called out as they are searching the dark forest for any signs of Christian.
"Where did he go? He shouldn't have gotten far." Francesca said.
John chuckled. "You don't know my brother well enough to know what kinds of trouble he gets into."
She glared at him. "Aren't you even taking this seriously? My dad is going to give me an earful if we don't find him soon. Even if he sent you two to spy on us, he still has a soft spot for the guy."
"I found something of interest." Sebastian said and gained everyone's attention.
"What is it?" Francesca asked.
Sebastian held up a piece of paper and said, "It's a coupon for a buffet. You mentioned he had a coupon earlier. He must've dropped it."
"Maybe he forgot it." Naomi said.
John shook his head with a frown. "No. My brother is a foodie. He loves eating anywhere at any time. He would never forget something important to his stomach." His eyes narrowed when he spotted an area with drag marks on the dirt.
Everyone else noticed as well. "Could it be he was kidnapped? But by whom?" Ken asked as he began to feel worried.
John felt his blood run cold. "Monster hunters." he took his cell out to make a phone call.
In an abandoned building, Christian the brown bat, is screeching loudly in the little cage he's trapped in.
The man in overalls banged on it. "Shut the hell up! You vampires are annoying! Pretending you are better than everyone else. Even among other monsters. And trust me; I've dealt with a lot of monsters."
Christian stared at him pleading with his little batty eyes to let him go.
"Don't waste your time trying to hypnotize me. I have specially made contact lens that are immune to your form of charming people."
The brown bat squeaked as if talking to the man, but you can't understand what he's saying.
The man grinned evilly. "What was that? You want some holy water?" he shrugged his shoulders. "Well, if you insist." He walked over and picked up a big spray container that pest control people carry. He returned and sprayed when he was close enough.
Christian screeched as he is being soaked with holy water. "You insisted, so man up and take it with dignity." the man taunted.
The brown bat's screeching grew louder in volume to the point the glass and mirrors in the room shattered to pieces.
"Son of a." the man growled and is kicking and banging on the cage angrily.
In that moment the brown bat's form changed and shattered the cage as well and the man looked with wide unbelieving eyes.
"Impossible." he screamed as a big furry paw grabbed his head and hoisted him up. The man took out a knife from his back pocket and began stabbing profusely.
The werewolf snarled and threw him into a wall.
The man groaned in pain as he pulled out a gun strapped to his ankle and began shooting.
The werewolf screamed in pain as silver bullets are penetrating his body.
"Why isn't it working?" he asked as the werewolf is still standing. "What the hell are you?"
His eyes widened again when huge wings extended out of the werewolf's back as it bared fangs at the man with deadly eyes.
The man cursed as he shot a few more rounds before screaming horrendously.
Everyone searching for Christian barged through the door and grimaced.
"Whoa." Ken said as everyone looked at all the blood and guts splattered everywhere.
They hear groaning and find Christian soaked in blood sprawled on the floor.
John rushed to his side. "I got you. It's going to be alright." He picked him up bridal style.
"Geez." Sebastian said. "I better call my uncle. We need a cleanup crew and a doctor."
Naomi and Ken observed Christian as they feel his aura shift. "How is his aura changing?"
John looked at them then at his brother. "Hm. I've never noticed it before, but you are right. I guess it's his self-conscious emanating from him." He said as Christian's aura is now a red serpent even unconscious.
