Loki's weakness

Chapter 10

Eir's POV

We held each other close not wanting to let go, in my case I was scared this was all a dream brought in to break my mind but the closer I curl into him the more warmth I feel and the louder his heart beat is this I know is real.

"Good morning love" a husky voice whispered to me making eye contact with the voice. I can't help the small smile that creeps onto my face. "Good morning dear" I reply happily that just hearing his voice made the clouds of despair in my mind clear.

"I think it is time we go and greet the other they are very worried about you, is what they would want me to say but I would much rather we stayed here" Loki mumbled into my hair as he pulls me closer I can't help but giggle 'that's so like him' I think to myself feeling reassured. I can't help but question though 'was there anyone else I was forgetting?' I can't seem to place who my darling was talking about, but I don't want to question him.

"Then we should just stay here" I reply, earning me a hum of agreement that's all I need there is no one else that I need just my husband. Lifting myself up from the bed I can feel an ache all over my body, my muscles are stiff and the bandages that litter my body are constricting 'it hurts I don't really want to move' my face drops pained I have to halt my attempt to follow my husband.

"Darling are you alright? Where does it hurt? Maybe you should stay in bed." Loki starts to ramble worried questions at me after noticing my movements had halted. "Loki darling I'm just a little sore, but I think it's best I do rest a little more though" I lie about just being sore in actual fact my body burns. My lie seems to stop his chaotic thoughts as he silently comes closer to my side of the bed again readjusting the white sheet over my body.

"Then stay here I will go get Banner to come and check on you" Loki leaned over and pressed a kiss on my cheek before retreating out of the room to get 'Banner' for me. Ever since I awoke I feel like I've been missing somethings not even being with Loki does it make me feel whole, why do I feel like this? I'm a God why is it that I feel so weak and lost... my mind feels hazy ever since I got kidnapped by Hydra.

"What am I missing?" I question into the void like silence that sat in the room after my Husband left, 'I don't want to be alone anymore' tears start to well up in my eyes after this thought it's scary being alone it feels cold. It's like I'm sitting in a freezer... It's so cold, not even the blanket I have over me seems to warm me up.

The only warmth I felt for months was when Loki was by my side. It was so soothing it chased away all the darkness that came alone with the cold.

3RD POV

Not long after Loki left Eir in the medical bay he rushed to the main living area to try and find Bruce so that he could check up on his beloved to make sure Hydra had done no more damage then what they had physically seen.

They were all worried that the damage they were seeing on her was only the tip of the iceberg and much more terrible wounds lay deep beneath her skin, in her mind they worried what Hydra could have done.

Loki rushed through the hallways not stopping till he found who he was looking for dashing into the Living room where all of the Avengers had gathered "Banner... Eir is awake, come with me now!" He demands not giving any of them the time to process what he had said, Loki grabs Bruce by the arm and starts to drag him back toward the medical wing not really wanting to be away from Eir any longer.

"Whoa! Slow down Loki I'm coming I can't keep up with you like this" Bruce exclaims caught off guard by the sudden action of the God of mischief pulling him along, " It's good to hear she is awake" Bruce adds in after relieved that she had woken up quicker then he had expected.

"Yes it is but something is off with her other than the fact she is still in pain... she dodged my questions and lied to me about not being in pain. Furthermore she acted strange when I suggested that she come see you all. Usually she would be the one to agree to see you all but she didn't, it seemed almost like she didn't know who I was talking about!" Loki rambles on all his worries spilling out of his mouth even though their interaction was small he didn't let anything fly past.

Loki knew something was odd with the way she behaved, almost like she didn't remember any of the Avenger he couldn't help, but wondered what they had done. This negative thought hadn't left him since the interaction.

"Calm down Loki I can't understand what you're saying, are you trying to say that you think Eir doesn't know who anyone is past you!" Bruce cuts off his rambling.

"Yes *deep breath* I don't know for certain that's why you need to see her" we had finally reached the medical wing after Loki had dropped that bomb shell on Bruce.

"Loki I think that you should go in first and then I will follow after I want to gauge her reaction" Bruce speaks seriously making sure he understood what he wanted. As he wanted to know what they had done to his friend and whether it was just memory loss or something even worse.

Nodding and agreeing to his proposal Loki knocked on the door announcing that he was back not long they heard a small voice tell them to come in, on the other side of the door Eir was happy to hear Loki was back even though he had been gone for like 10 minutes she was ecstatic.

Loki, not wanting to waste another second opened the door and walked straight over to his beloved Eir seeing her face light up as he did it was almost like life had been breathed back into her. "Dear I brought Banner here to make sure you are well" He whispered softly to her like if he raised his voice any louder he would spook her.

Eir got a bad feeling from what he said; it was like whoever was on the other side of the door was going to harm her, Eir even though Loki was keeping her warm again could feel the cold radiating from the door almost like death was going to walk through the door and claim her. "Hey Eir how are you feeling" Bruce walked through the door smiling gently till he saw her face drop from the ecstatic smile she had from seeing Loki.

She hadn't had time to process the feeling she got before Bruce had walked through the door seeing his face sent chills down her spine, hearing his voice had made her whole body go rigid like it had been programmed into her that this man and his friends are a danger to her and her Husband. She backed up further behind Loki trying to hide from this man, fearful tears started to fill her eyes as she hid for a split second. You could see the dread fill everyone in the room.

A feeling of Terror filled all their minds for different reasons, Eir couldn't understand the reason for her fear but she couldn't fight the need to be away from Bruce, both men's terror was for the women and just What had they done to her mind? This wasn't her!

"Loki I'm scared, please make him leave" she begged him first before her dark thoughts got the better of her and she made Bruce leave herself...
