Keefe's mouth dangled open for what felt like an eternity. "Fitz?" Keefe's voice wasn't harsh, but it wasn't nice either. "What have you been doing hiding out in Foster's room?" Keefe's voice got louder as he spoke, sharp as a dagger. "Do you know how much you effected everyone? How worried everyone got? Do you know what you put ME through?" As Fitz opened his mouth to speak, Keefe cut him off. "You know what? I'm not gonna let you answer that. You were about to say sorry weren't you? Well I am soo sorry that you suddenly felt the urge to push Foster into that stupid freezing lake!" Keefe took in a breath, his face turning into a ruby red apple, if he was in a cartoon there would've been steam coming out of his ears. "Do you know how much your FAMILY worried about you? Did you even THINK about them when you ran off?" Keefe calmed down a little as he said, "Look, Fitz. I know you must've had at least some regrets about what you did. You're going to need to apologize, to everyone. Mostly though, you need to give an apology to Foster, maybe even include a little begging. Considering what you put her through," Keefe whispered the last part, not even wanting to imagine what nightmares she'd been living.
Fitz cleared his throat, "Keefe, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to push Sophie. A strong gust of wind just came out of nowhere and I tripped. I know it sounds like I'm lying but I'm not. I promise I never wanted to hurt her." Fit'z voice cracked and he looked away.
"Yeah well then why'd you run away man? I was going hysterical! I mean, imagine your best friend pushing your girlfriend into the water then leaving and being all by yourself to rescue your drowning girlfriend. To top it all off, your stupid idiot friend doesn't even say where he's going, LEAVING ME! Do you know how much trouble you've put everyone through?! We could possibly LOSE Foster and all you can do is leave a trail of sand! WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH YOU?!
"Keefe please, I don't know what happened. The wind was so sudden that I just-"
"Wait a minute. Did you say 'sudden wind'?"
"Yeah? Why?"
"Well, since I guess I have to spell it out for you. Who's in the Neverseen and is a Guster?"
Fitz's moment of realization would've been hilarious if their situation wasn't so serious. "Trix."
