"There you are." Elwin whispered. "I was starting to lose hope when Bullhorn started screaming at some point through the night. I gave you some elixirs and he stopped, now here you are." Elwin's eyes got a little teary as Sophie studied him. He had dark circles under his eyes, frizzy curls, and the stench of a bad elixir, but other than that he looked like him.

"Thanks." Sophie mumbled quietly.

"Does anything hurt?" Elwin asked, he snapped his fingers and making a red orb appear.

"Not really, it just feels like I took a long nap."

"Yeah well you were out for 2 days."

"2 DAYS? I lost so much time!" Sophie tried to get up from the bed she was in, but instead just got a head rush.

"Woah woah, take it easy. There's nothing to worry about." Elwin helped her get back under the covers in a comfortable position.

Sophie just rolled her eyes. "Ugh you're starting to sound like Alden. Usually when he says that there IS a reason to worry." She stared him down, daring him to admit the truth, but she was disappointed.

Elwin just laughed it off, "I'm serious. You don't need to get yourself all worked up. Just try to get some rest and I'll have Livvy come later to check you out."

"Wait, where am I exactly?" Sophie tried and failed to get a better view of her surroundings.

"Splendor Plains."

"You took me to your house?" Sophie looked at her surroundings. It looked a little familiar, but she couldn't quite grasp the memory. The walls were a white marble looking color with dull gold wall trims. The floor had a white diamond pattern with red, orange, and pink, plus every color in existence, etched into it. In the far corner there was a tall floor plant and a silver tray on a brown end table full of elixirs. She looked at him in disbelief. "Y'know Foxfire's in session."

"Well that's one of the reasons I didn't take you there plus Livvy insisted that we take you somewhere where it would be easier to reach you. We've been taking shifts on who would stay with you every day. Now go ahead and get some rest."

"But I feel fine!"

"Now you and me both know that you need to get some rest. I need to figure out why you had such a big reaction to the water."

"I was literally drowning, are you sure that's not it?"

"Yeah, I'm sure. I have dozens of elixirs for that. Hmmmm."

"Whatever." Sophie mumbled. She yanked the covers and plopped back down.

"You just had to come through when I left didn't you?" Livvy said in a teasing tone. Sophie had probably had like a two hour nap but she was still exhausted.

"I want to thank you Livvy for saving me, again."

"It's my job to protect the Moonlark. Of course I would help you." She smiled and dug through her satchel. "I have a few elixirs that might help with the pain you might be feeling." She dug through it some more. "Aha! Here take this." She handed Sophie a green chunky elixir

"This doesn't even look edible." Sophie complained, but she chugged it down anyways and thankful she did when she felt much more relaxed and less like a verminion had tried chewing her and spit her out.

"Want me to let Elwin know that you're up for visitors?"

"Yeah. just tell him not to hail Fitz."

"Well, no one has actually seen him, including Keefe, so that shouldn't be a problem. And I'm sure I probably don't want to know the beef going on with you two. Anyways here, you deserve to get something to get that yucky taste out of you mouth." Livvy tossed her a prattles box and walked out.

"Hey, so you have a few visitors that want to come see you right now." Elwin said flashing a toothy smile.

"Uh yeah sure, you can let them in." Sophie replied.

"I'm not sure you want me to let them ALL in since there's quite a few people who want to make sure you're okay. Maybe around like 6 no wait maybe it was 10?." Elwins shrugged as if it was no big deal. "Now if you're fine with being bombarded with a bunch of questions then be my guest but-"

"No it's fine, maybe just 2 at a time." Sophie said with a forced smile.

"Alright, well let's see. How about Alden and Della?"

"Sure!" Sophie tried to sound enthusiastic, but there was one particular boy that she really wanted to see right then. Her first best friend, Dex.

"Okay let me just see how to get them in here without causing a riot." Elwin chuckled as he left out the door. Sophie just couldn't stop thinking about what had happend 2 days ago. Her memories were a scattered mess, but she did know one thing. Fitz had betrayed her.
