I just want to thank everyone who commented on the chapters (and btw I do read them) it makes me so happy to see them and like... gosh idk. Anyway, I'll stop being boring and get back to the story.

As Keefe walked down the glittering pathway lined with glamorous path lights, he kept going back to the one thing that had bothered him at Splendor Plains.

Elwin.

As soon as he came through those big gold double doors he looked super fidgety and not at all like the once calm and laid back elf. Hmm. While Keefe was still in his head organizing his thoughts and trying to drink some of his lushberry juice without dropping his Doritos, he didn't notice how hard it had started raining. At first it was just a few drops, but then as if someone had flipped a switch, his hair became plastered to his forehead as dark rain fell around him. It caused quite the panic considering a few elves were in fact having a late night picnic far off to the right of him, they were so far away all he could see were around 3 elves trying to gather as much leftover food as they could... too bad none of them were a Conjurer.

Around 5 minutes later he found some nice shelter under some Pures. As he set down some of his things and made a padded flooring out of some giant leaves, he plopped down and started combing his hands through his drenched hair. Then, the unthinkable happened, he saw Sophie Foster stumbling through the rain with a white bedsheet lined with a diamond pattern and little rhinestones at the corner. It's one thing to get your picnic ruined, but it's another thing to see your girlfriend walking through the rain in such a poor condition, she was basically tripping over her own two feet.

"Foster?" He called out. "What are you doing here?"

Sophie looked up as if just now noticing him and stumbled her way over, her eyes shone with determination. She gasped as she got a closer look, "You're him! I knew it!"

"Wait what?" Keefe asked with a confused look on his face. "What are you talking about? It's just me."

"No, wait. Give me a second, I need to get my bearings." she tried to study herself on one of the trees but ended up missing by about 5 inches. She would have fallen over if Keefe hadn't caught her and wrapped her tighter in her bedsheets, which if she could stand up she might have looked like a pretty impressive bedsheet goddess. But the whole, 'I could puke at any time' look on her face kind of defeated the mood. She flinched as he brushed some of the wet strands that were plastered to her face off. "Uh, thanks." Sophie said blushing.

"Are you good? How did Elwin even let you out of your room?"

"That's what I have to tell you, funny story yet now it doesn't seem so funny, I peeked into his mind to see what he was hiding and I know it's against the rules, but I knew that it was something serious and I wasn't really thinking, but I only did that because of this girl named Clarisna inside my head and she showed me a picture of you because when I was unconscious, well I think there was something in the water that I almost drowned in and it kind of caused me to forget people temporarily, but what she didn't know until a few minutes ago was that I forget people longer who I have a stronger connection with." She took a deep breath as her face turned even more green than it was before.

She paused looking at the now bewildered Keefe staring at her who shook his head as he came out of his shock. "So you don't remember me, you broke an elvin law, and you snuck out without telling anyone?" he whistled as he sat down on the ground. "Wow. I would be proud if you didn't look like you were about to faint."

"Could you tell me your name?" Sophie asked in a small voice as if he might blow up on her.

"I'm Keefe."

"Keefe." she muttered to herself. "Keefe, Keefe, Keefe. Hmm- Ouch!" Sophie suddenly grasped her head as her face twisted in agony. "I can't-" Keefe crawled over to her side with quite speed considering the leaves were starting to get wet and soak into his pants.

"Sophie? What's happening? Are you okay?"

"I-" she tried to say more but no sound came out, instead her eyes filled with tears as she threw up on him then sank into his arms as she lost consciousness.
