Chapter 17
"Jake was a tree"

The waiter walked over, placing our food down and we all thanked him.

We talked as we ate, we were going back and forth asking questions. I had ended up following all of them on social media as they did with me.

Sam filmed for a bit, just updating everyone. I finished my food first, seeing as I wasn't super hungry so I couldn't eat a lot.

As we were waiting for Corey and Jake to finish, I got a call, so I went to the bathroom.

"Who is this?" I answered. "Don't tell me you forgot about me gorgeous?" I smiled immediately. "Kaden."

"Bullseye." I could practically hear his smirk. "I've missed you dumbass." I learned against the wall. "Well clearly not enough seeing as I haven't seen your beautiful name pop up on my phone Ara." He teased.

"Oh whatever, I haven't seen any missed calls from you dummy." He sighed at that. "You got me there."

"How has Arrow been?" Arrow was his younger brother. "He hasn't stopped talking about you since you left, sometimes I think he likes you more than I do."

"Well I guess you'll have to come visit then." I said, he responded immediately. "Are you busy next week?"

"Unfortunately, but maybe you could fly out the week after?" I asked hopefully. "Of course, anything for you." I smiled even more.

"Okay well I gotta go, but please call me later." We talked for another minute before hanging up.

I really missed that idiot

When I walked out of the bathroom, the boys were waiting at the door. Jake and Corey were wrestling, Colby was looking at his phone, and Sam just looked like a disappointed dad.

"Sorry that took so long." I walked over to them, Corey jumped when he saw me, clearly getting scared.

"It's alright, is everything okay?" Colby threw his phone in his pocket, holding open the door for me. "Yeah it was just my friend from Florida, he wants to fly out here soon." I said, locking Jakes arm with mine as he skipped down the pavement.

"Florida? Did you grow up there?" Sam asked, and I nodded. "So did Matt, Chris, and Lizzy." I explained. "The others grew up here, besides Gray, he lived in Texas until he turned 9."

We got into the car, Sam didn't feel like driving so Colby did, while Sam was in the passenger seat. I sat in between Jake and Corey which was eventful to say the least.

We somehow ended up screaming the lyrics to Let it Go while Sam and Colby looked very disappointed.

"Oh god I really do not want to go back." Corey said as we pulled up to the Asylum. Jake agreed.

I was definitely still freaked about earlier, but I was trying to not focus on it.

When we were inside we agreed not to stay another night, just to hang out until it go dark.

By the time we got back it was about 2 and the sun started to set around 6

"What should we do?" Sam asked, after he filmed, explaining what we were doing.

"No more Ouija boards." We all said at the same time. "Glad we agree on something." Corey muttered.

"Seance?" Colby asked half joking.

Corey looked like he was about to smack someone.

"Okay okay, no seances." He chuckled lightly. "We could go upstairs? We haven't been up there yet." I asked, they all nodded hesitantly.

We spent about 2 hours exploring upstairs, it was even bigger than the normal floor.

Nothing super eventful happened, I told a few stories about Henry Cotton, and the Cotton method. Jake felt a few touches, but we weren't sure if that was a spirit or Corey holding on to him for dear life.

I had somehow forgot about the cut I had on my hand, which we had originally wrapped up in the car, but I has to change it so we stopped investigating and just decided to chill for a bit.

Jake decided to take a nap, and me and Corey hug out for the majority of the time.

"Who invented time?" I asked him. "You hurt my brain." He replied.

"Where are you guys staying for the rest of time anyway?" I asked Colby, who was laying next to me. "We never actually thought about that." He looked to Sam who shrugged.

"Me and my friends booked like 4 rooms at the hotel, you guys could stay with us." I suggested. "Are you sure? You don't have to let us." Sam shook his head. "No it's okay really, you guys are cool, I know they won't mind."

We ended you playing charades for an hour, we filmed some of it.

Corey was George Washington, Sam was a goat, Jake was a tree but we all thought he was an Elephant, and Colby was a bird.

"It's getting dark, we should probably get going so we aren't driving for an hour in complete darkness." Colby said, we packed up the remainder of our stuff, I had changed into jeans and a cardigan earlier.

"Let's get the fuck out of this place."
