seonghwa sighed and took off his apron. he had just told the boys to go home, as some of them had school the next day he wanted them to leave to get some rest.

he had begun to unplug the fairy lights around the shop until he heard the front bell ring.

he frowned because he thought he locked it, but he guessed he forgot.

"sorry we are closed," seonghwa said unplugging the light.

"the pretty barista cant fix up a quick americano?" a voice spoke out. seonghwas head shot back and made eye contact with the red haired man from this morning.

"ah," seonghwa mumbled.

the man sheepishly smiled at him before taking out his wallet. seonghwa sighed and went behind the counter to quickly make this man's americano.

"drinking coffee at this hour?" seonghwa questioned while tilting his head towards the clock that was hanging on the wall. he began grinding a few coffee beans, enough to make one espresso shot.

"you gotta do what you gotta do to stay awake," the man simply replied.

"you know your body needs sleep right?" seonghwa turned to face the man. he really took in his features as the shop was very dimly lit, it made him question: who was this guy?

"i know, but i need to get work done," the man replied. seonghwa nodded and spoke up, "i understand that, sometimes you need to prioritize work." he then turned back around to brew the coffee.

the man hummed. seonghwa waited a moment before speaking up again, "i've never seen you around."

"yeah, i just moved here," the man confirmed.

seonghwa hummed in response. he poured the espresso shot over water and ice before popping on a lid and poking a straw through. he handed it to the man before telling him the total.

the man pulled out a 10 dollar bill and spoke up, "keep it, sorry for bothering you when you were about to close. you saved me though!" he said holding up the cup.

"no problem," seonghwa cracked a small smile and watched the man leave the shop.

seonghwa sighed and stared at the spot where the man used to be.

"he intrigues me," he said, and went to clean the machinery and counter.

"im back!" he yelled out.

"ya hongjoong how long does it take to get an americano from down the block!" a voice called out.

"sorry san i got caught up in small talk with the barista there," hongjoong said kicking off his shoes and looking around the empty place.

"didn't you make one of those workers late by talking to them?" another voice appeared and said.

"shut up Yeonjun," he said embarrassed.

yeonjun chuckled and handed a notebook to hongjoong and spoke, "here so you can sketch out your designs.

hongjoongs eyes widened. "thank you junnie!" he exclaimed and quickly made his way onto a chair to began sketching.

"can you believe he's older than us?" san scoffed. yeonjun flicked him on the head and began taking out paint buckets from the back room.

"i heard that," hongjoong said irritated.

the three boys began worked a bit around the space before returning to their respectable homes.

hongjoong was walking down the dimly lit streets and was approaching his apartment complex.

he noticed another person in front of him walking up the stairs. he squinted and saw pink hair. it couldn't be the same guy right?

"i need to go to sleep," hongjoong sighed and walked down the hall before walking into his apartment. it was still somewhat empty with a couple boxes laying around the living room, but he was too tired to care at the moment.

"it can wait for tomorrow," he mumbled into his pillow, and soon drifted off to sleep.
