███'s POV

"..EIGHT FUCKING DAYS!" I yelled at the people sitting at the same table. "Is that not enough to move any further?!"

"B-but.." One of the Engineers tried to speak up, and I cooled myself down a little. "We are trying our best, sir! The squads have been wandering around and are continuing to search for the said spot. But it looks like the said entrance is either blocked or.."

"Or?" I gripped the holster, being ready to take the gun out and blast that Man's brains.

"D-doesnt exist, sir." The Second Engineer said, and I snapped my head to him.

"I pay you for working," I said, smiling. "And you, sadly, disappoint me."

"We will double the squads then!" That Third Engineer said.

I pulled out the handgun I had and aimed it at him, before sending a bullet right into his head. The head with widened eyes tilted backwards, as the body fell alongside with the chair. There was silence in the room as everyone silently looked at the dead body, and I could feel something I used to when I didn't reach the position of mine.

Fear.

A wild animal instinct to do anything just to prevent death from coming.

"I give you one more day." I said coldly, now pulling up the first engineer and looking over at him. His face represented horror, and of course, he feared he'll be shot too. "Try not to disappoint me."

"Yes, Sir!" They ran outside while only the Lieutenant remained. He was calm and continued to smoke the cigarette.

"Get rid of the body." I commanded and a blank nod followed. He stood up and went for the body.

"And make sure when this ends, those two are following the third one into the grave."

Then I heard a chuckle.

"Will do, boss."

[Y/n]'s POV

I still sat in the car as we made our way out of the hospital towards our house. My Uncle gave me strict instructions, literally saying I will be sitting at home for the whole time. I tried to prevent that by excusing my walks with "school", but he already called the principal and explained stuff.

I groaned, boringly looking out of the car's window. People and Monsters were wandering around, some were working, some were having fun..

And I won't be able to do the same for god knows how long.

"You're not so talkative today." My Uncle noted, and I gave a blank nod.

"Just.. Don't feel like talking much." I said, peering back into the window.

"Even about hiking?" He continued.

"About it, too."

That's it.
The conversation's over.

I knew what Chara still followed me and could've even been sitting right near, but I didn't bother to try and get her attention. I would eventually tell my Uncle, but this isn't anyhow the best moment to do that.
