AEGLECREST DI MARCO

Next day

At school during lunch, I went to Sarah "Hey." I said grabbing a seat next to her. Her blue eyes lit up when she saw me.

"What do we have here?" Sarah said looking over my plate."Ooooh...a burger!" she grinned sitting up excitedly. I smiled and nodded.

"Well then let's dig in!" She cheered picking up the knife and fork to begin eating.

"I am working out so only salad and fruit for lunch today," Rhead said putting down his plate as he took a seat.

Sarah rolled her eyes and took a bite of her sandwich.

"Umm, Sarah, can you help me with my math homework this afternoon?" I asked, casting a glance in her direction.

Sarah paused mid-bite, her brow furrowing in concentration as she considered my request. "Sure, I'll help you," she agreed, her response coming after a moment's thought, followed by a swallow of her food.

"And I have something important to tell you," I added, fixing her with an expectant gaze.

"What is it?" Sarah inquired, tilting her head slightly, her curiosity piqued by my words.

"Sarah, I-" I began, only to be abruptly cut off by Rhead.

"AA AA nO, Sarah is busy today," Rhead interjected, he directed his attention toward me. "Today, she and I are doing group study," he declared with a sense of finality.

Sarah's expression shifted to one of puzzlement as she turned to face Rhead.

"Huh? When did we decide that?" she questioned, her eyebrow arching in confusion.

"Just now," Rhead replied casually, his nonchalant demeanor contrasting with the suddenness of his announcement.

"But-" Sarah attempted to protest, only to have her words silenced as Rhead swiftly placed an orange slice into her mouth, effectively cutting off any further objections.

She glanced around awkwardly, her expression a mixture of surprise and resignation.

I stayed quiet, the words I wanted to say staying inside me. Instead, I concentrated on my burger, eating each bite carefully.

SIXTH PERIOD

I picked up my books, feeling their weight as I walked to my locker. With ease, I swapped them for my swimming gear. Just then, I heard Rhead call my name. I turned to see him walking towards me, holding a towel behind his back.

"You look good," I teased Rhead as he walked by in his outfit.

"Go get ready," he said, giving me a playful shove on the shoulder.
