"Wow, that was Breathtaking," Sarah exclaimed as she hastily walked over to me with the duo.

"Did I just witness a secret proposal?" Dior teased, bumping his arm into mine.

"So, are you guys officially boyfriends now with that not-so-secret ring exchange?" Rhead smirked casting a teasing but content gaze at me.

However, my gaze felt weak and sad. I glanced at my hand, at the ring given by him, and then slowly turned my hand, observing my palm where I discovered the other side of the ring had 'I love you' carved on it, a detail I had initially missed.

"He got it for you," I said, reaching my hand to meet Dior's and giving him the bracelet.

"Oh? Wow, that's pretty cool," he responded as he examined the bracelet in his palm.

"C'mon crack a smile, Seve. You've got yourself a boyfriend," Sarah giggled, covering her face.

Silence lingered as I didn't reply; I didn't smile. I just stood there quietly, keeping my gaze down.

"What's wrong?" Rhead questioned, reading my upset face.

Dior ushered everyone away from me, "Y'all back off. My best friend is a bit flustered at the moment. Let him catch up on some fresh air," he declared, fanning my face with his hand.

My eyes fluttered with a tinge of sorrow, and I felt the telltale sign of tears threatening to surface. I clenched my jaw, an internal struggle to contain the emotions raging within.

"Seve, what happened?" Dior's tone shifted to a more serious note as he observed my expression. "I get it, emotions can run high when people get boyfriends, but you know what time it is?" He exclaimed, glancing from my face to the others, "It's party time!" He cheered, and Sarah joined in with a small clap.

Rhead's smile mirrored Dior's enthusiasm, but it faded as he noticed my lingering sadness.

"C'mon, Seve, don't let that gloomy face ruin the celebration. You're officially a couple now!" Dior nudged me, but my response remained muted. "Is there something that is bothering you?" he asked, examining my face.

I struggled to find the right words to explain anything to them, the weight on my chest seemed insurmountable, I looked up at my friends and then looked down again, mumbling "It's not that, guys. I appreciate the celebration. It's just..."

Dior interrupted, "Just what? You're not regretting the boyfriend upgrade, are you?" He raised his right brow at me.

I shook my head quietly, "I just don't know if we will ever meet again or not."

Dior's brows knit together in puzzlement at my words, and Sarah blinked a few times, grasping the meaning behind my statement.

"I'll tell you," Dior said with a forced smile, "Tomorrow, sharp at 9 am, at the library. Last bench near the window seat—you'll find him." He scrunched his nose as he mentioned Kaylo's usual spot in school.
