I can't sleep, but I have to. They need me in a couple of hours.

The voice inside Liz's drained brain kept on mumbling. No matter how hard she tossed and turned in bed, still, she can't keep her eyes closed. Something was troubling her; for a very long time.

She stood up and went to Ava's room instead. At least she thought that peace will be sought there and she hoped so. Seeing her daughter's innocent and delicate face was a reward to her. Taking good care of her for nine months up to now is her greatest achievement, after John and her degree. Liz sat beside the sleeping child, caressed her hair, and smiled deeply as her mind wanders around her husband.

How long has it been?
We're two people together, but living alone.

And Ava's growing in her nanny's arms without our knowledge. It hurts me so much to think about this. What happened to the two of us, John? Ever so happy, I think it faded away.

Then she heard footsteps heading towards the master's bedroom.
