Don't Say Goodbye

Back to work again. Different patients and diseases, familiar medicine names to match with them.

Hundreds of new music sheets to work on, song drafts to finish and record, and new notes to put into action.

But one thing's for sure that's always in their minds;

Katherine Ava.

She is perfection like John and Liz. Ava is their angel, sent from up above to bless them even more. She is the epitome of Liz's utmost beauty and the right mix of John's charisma. The five year old young blood is the best gift they have ever received.

Before they left this morning, John and Liz hugged and kissed their adorable daughter. They bid her goodbye, but the child said,

"Don't say goodbye, Mommy and Daddy."

They both turned around, looking confused then John knelt before her.

"It's what we always say when we or someone leaves, Ava."

"But Daddy, I changed my mind."

"Why is that?"

"Since we're all living in one house, you can say 'see you later' and not 'goodbye' or 'bye-bye'. 'Bye-bye's are meant for leaving and never coming back, right?"

Both John and Liz were astounded by what they heard from Ava.

"John? Come on, break's over. We've got a record to finish. Are you alright?" Caleb walked in and saw John staring into space, whilst a guitar lies in his arms.

"Yeah, I am. I'll be there. Tell them to get ready and in a few minutes, we'll go to the studio." John answered and Caleb nodded in approval.

"Dr. McGraw, we need you in the operating room for the next five minutes. All set?" Max the nurse asked Liz who was tying her hair up in a bun, preparing herself for another operation.

"Yes, Max. Let's go." They both brisk walk on the way to the operating room.

"Is everything alright, Doc?"

"Yes. I just have a lot in my mind lately."

"Seems like it."
