The lead scientist and experiment-fanatic, Ruinate wasn't all too pleased with the dissolution of the DIvine Intervention - his best source of faux-god information and materials had just vanished, though he understood why. With that being said, it was no wonder that Ruinate refused both offers by the GPC and the Divine Institute, and instead went to the Forge to create his own research and protection team - The Entropic Troupe.
Named by Axel, of course.
Boasting the impressive Flow to decay whatever matter he touches at his leisure, Ruinate is a very impressive and competent fighter, especially against the numerous planets overrun by the Pattern-Screamer menace, slowly being fought back and beaten by the new guardians by the Divine Institute, as well as teams like Ruinate's.
His entire life now revolves around researching the Pattern-Screamer threat, making sure that his team of misfits and bizarre protogen survive to see the next cycle, and defeating and saving planets - all the while saving the best bits for himself to further delve into their biology.
Ever since leaving and forming his own team, his decay Flow has grown in strength and pure power. Able to decay in long sweeping areas, or utterly obliterate any object that even comes close to those deadly claws. He single handedly can destroy entire armies of Pattern-Screamiers that have no way to attack from a distance.
Which is a shame, because he'd rather have some specimens intact. Especially, as it seems, the Pattern-Screamers are evolving. Without their master of Divento being present, they're allowed free-reign of the Boson-Energy making up their cores - and they are evolving more and more.
But so are the Flows that are battling them. And despite being a scientist first, Ruinte will always put the lives of others first, even if it means a particularly good sample goes to waste. Though he'll still mourn the loss of a good testing subject.
And that raw power and that ability to put others first is was gave Ruinate that Black Letter. If the protogen were to be called upon, he'd have no issue rising to the challenge and returning to the ranks of the original Divine Intervention.
He'll save as many as he can, no matter how much he needs to decay.
Story - Screaming at Patterns
The science called to him.
It was a low drum. In the back of his mind, a gentle guiding light, a yearning in the deepest ventricles of his heart, beating in his chest with the rhythm of his generator. His fingers yearned to wrap himself around a scalpel and split the atomic knowledge buried in the cells of those wretched screamers he and his team kills.
That itch to study, to record, to archive and to save for future reference and generations. That desire to do something good, that desire to make something new, to teach people something new. It was nestled deep in his heart, pumped through every bessel of his blood, infesting every synaptic gap with that desire.
"Captain?" A voice called from behind those solid metal doors of Ruinate's room, as it was his lab as well. He turned, letting loose a loose sigh. The blood covering his hands instantly decayed away, purple lightning crackling across his visor for just a moment. He waved his hand to allow the door to open.
He was still unused to being a captain, rather than just a scientist.
"Yes? Oh, Carrion, welcome." Ruinate answered upon seeing the salmon-colored protogen. The effeminate cyborg gently walked into his lab as Ruinate returned to his work. The protogen was one of the ones designed by Axel to join Ruinates' little themed science research team. His flow was Flesh Manipulation, or manipulation as coined by Axel.
