I feel a giant pressure jump on me in the middle of the night scaring the daylights out of me. "Surprise!" Sasha shouts at me with excitement. "Jesus sash you nearly gave me a heart attack." I said sitting up in bed. "Sorry, come on get up put something on we're going out." She tells me. Holding a bottle of tequila in her hand. I give her a look and smile. "Like old times?" I said. She nods. "Just like old times." She replied. I get out of bed quickly tossing on something to wear. When we say old times, when we were teenagers we would raid the liquor cabinets and hide in the woods drinking until we felt sick. I grab my phone and her hand in mine. Rushing to exit the house the halls and rooms feeling empty from everyone in bed, the quietness as we crept swiftly through the house. giggling our way out, as we ran our way into the woods behind the house.
Hearing the sound of twigs snapping beneath our feet as we ran, endlessly threw the forest. Till we came to our clearing, a small open feild with a magnificent angel oak tree standing center of it. Sasha liked to call it the eye of the gods, being surrounded by a forest of trees. With it standing singular in the center of an open green mass. We started gathering sticks of wood, piling them together.
She puts her hands near the pile, taking a deep breath, she says. "Ignis." Lighting a fire within the stacked wood, I giggled a bit opening the bottle of tequila, I take a drink passing it off to Sasha. She had always struggled learning her craft, becoming a witch in which she got from her mother. She didn't hate it, she just hated that she couldnt control it as well. still she was never one to give up. "looks like we got a master on our hands." i told her with a smile. She smirked, scoffing as if it was a ridiculous notion. "i wouldnt say master, but im getting so much better." she tells me sipping on the bottle. I shrugged. "im just glad i dont have to ask for help anymore." She adds.I understood that, it was only when i push past my limits. I honestly wished i was sasha instead. I could use my powers just fine, but if im triggered I could lash out. My dad had a close friend of his make a solution to when I lash out, having to inject me with a serum to shut my emotion down. Since its emotion that triggers me, technically its like a xannax for gods. or like me a thea, pretty much means the same thing, just a diferent name.
I grab the bottle from her and make a toast. "to freedom." I said taking a drink. only for her to take the bottle. "And a happy birthday, to my favorite goddess." she says taking a swig of tequila. She get up and drags me to my feet, throwing on music from her phone. Tossing it down, looking me dead in my eyes. "Lets get wild." she says with a excited smile. I swirl my hand around while a glowing gold mist forms in my hand. Creating a flower crown for her, the twigs tangling together with daisies and carnations, hearing the sticks crackle together making itself into a ring. I place it on her head and make one for myself. This power it was always soothing to use, with a soft humming sound as the flowers bloom into a wreathed crown. I place it on top my head. "there, now were ready." I said with a smile. "Why does mine have daisies and yours have dahlias?" She makes a pouty face. "Because it's my birthday, not yours. But I can make you a new one?" I said rolling my eyes. She shoves me a bit. "Don't be ridiculous, I'm only fooling with you." She says. Running off.
I chase after her and she pulled me along dancing around the campfire with laughs echoing throughout the forest. twirling about the field, acting as children. Soon turning our dancing into a game of tag, chasing one another, running around in the field nearly touching each other. Reaching around the giant oak tree, scurrying my way against it. My hand gliding along the scratchy bark as we trailed around it peeking at one another, joshing a chase. I take off from behind the tree and she tackles me to the ground. "gotcha!" she shouts. I grunted when hitting the earth, letting out a laugh. We were breathless laying on against the ground together, catching our breath. "You were taking it easy on me huh?" she asked me. "Even kaiser doesnt let me win." she says with a scoff. "ha! i was playing fair, kai doesnt always play fair, plus your his little sister. im your bestfriend." I tell her. "Its my job to even the playing field, Kai's just almighty, dark and he likes being infirior." I added. she giggled rolling her eyes. "Easy for you to say, hes nice to you." She tells me.
