Neither of them like what was going to happen, but they didn't have any other choice. A plan is a plan, they just hoped it would do the trick without much difficulty or raising too much suspicion.
Jeongguk drowned himself in an entire bottle of scent-blocker, mentally preparing himself.
"Stay here, love. I'll be back, alright? I promise. Don't go out, I don't want to risk either of those two damned wolves stumbling upon you. If they touch you again, I swear, I'll─"
"Alpha!" Taehyung giggles, noticing the fiery red eyes.
"I'll be fine, okay? You mustn't worry about me right now, you have bigger troubles ahead. Just go in and out, like we discussed, okay? As long as you don't linger too long, you'll be fine."
At least, that's what they hope.
The alpha sighs, pulling the omega towards his chest and hugging him tight, pressing kisses on top of his head.
"Alright, baby. Stay here. I'll be back soon."
With that, the male exits and disappears out of sight, leaving a lonely feeling cabin behind and an ugly gut feeling.
Taehyung groans softly, ruffling his own hair in frustration. This didn't feel right. Especially not staying at home and doing nothing. He wants to help, what if the alpha needs him?
<Hey, Jiminie. Have you heard from my parents yet? I swear, they decided to unown me or something.
He decided to mind link his best friend, simply to distract himself from the nerve-wracking feelings inside of him.
>Haha! They're fine, Tae. They love you very much, you know that. I actually spoke to them a few days ago, they were gushing on about how much they love the idea of you having a mate. They'd love to meet him, figured out a way to get out of that, yet?
Groaning, the omega flops down on a random chair. Great. More concerns. There goes his plan of distraction.
<Shit, no, I haven't. Would they be understanding and supportive? I don't even know at this point.
>I doubt they would start talking to others about your current whereabouts, Taehyung-ah. I think you can trust them and tell them the truth. Once they get back in touch with you, that is.
The blonde shakes his head, giggling.
<Yeah. Anyways, err─ how's your life going over there? Anything interesting that has happened so far?
>Nothing new, no. Yoongi is great, though. So mate-wise it's going great over here. How about you? Did you get some action yet?
Gulping, Taehyung stays silent. And that's enough for Jimin.
>OH MY GOD! You totally did! So how was he? Has he marked you? Tell me!
<I went into heat, exactly like he told me. He.. he was amazing, Jiminie. I still can't wrap my head around how perfect he is. He took care of my so well, I seriously can't believe it. He did mark me. It was a true out of this world experience. I love him, Jimin. I do.
If someone were to tell Taehyung two months ago he'd be in love with a pure blood, he would have laughed at their face. Yet, look at him now, happier than ever.
>Woah, he did it. He truly pulled it off. You're smitten, just like he is. You guys are truly adorable together, Taehyung. I swear, I─
The mind link suddenly goes eerily silent.
Taehyung sits up straight, worries getting the best of him.
He starts pacing back and forth, whimpering at the feeling something is just not right.
He stares outside in full blown anxiety.
Within three more seconds, he bolts out of the door; shifting into his wolf mid-way and starting to run towards his old territory at full speed.
He dodges a few trees here and there, jumping over some thorned plants with his alpha printed on his conscious.
He just has to see for himself. He has to help in any way he can.
He's panting by the time he gets nearer, halting in his tracks when Jimin's voice finally pops back up again.
>Uh, sorry for disappearing like that─ but your alpha was suddenly at the door, asking whether I could hastily take him towards that Eun-Sook's place. What's going on?
Taehyung curses at himself for being so reckless and worried, for not having more faith in his mate.
But to his defense, he's acting this way because he loves him and he doesn't want to imagine losing him. He just wants to be there for him, help him.
<Um.. well. It's a very long story, but to somewhat summarise it, Jeongguk has this deal with two wolves and he has to return Eun-Sook to them. The girl is their daughter. It's a deal, caused by his parents. He can't back out of it.
Due to the rushed and panicked voice, Jimin just hums, deciding not to question any further for now.
>Ah, okay. Well, I hope you guys know what you're doing.
Silence.
>Tae? Are you still listening?
No response.
"Shit!" Jimin curses, getting himself back to reality and walking out of his house hastily, going into the same direction he sent the alpha off to.
He tries to walk as normal as possible, not needing any eyes on him. He doesn't even know what's precisely going on, but of one thing he is drop-dead certain; whatever it is, it can not be good.
He eventually starts jogging towards Eun-Sook's place, not able to wait any longer.
However, once he arrives, he's met with the sight of the door wide open and no alpha to be found.
"Fuck!" He curses again, immediately mind linking his mate to let him know about his own whereabouts and current situation.
With that, he trails after Eun-Sook's vague scent that still lingers around ─in his head cursing at himself for being an omega for the moment being since he's not able to do it better─ and attempts on tracking them down.
Whatever is going on, it doesn't feel right.
