Forever And More (DAMON X READER)

Chapter Eight

Y/N's POV - Current time

"Hailey! What the hell?!" I shouted at her, seeing the man I'd loved for over a century lying on the floor as she stood with a wrench in her hand, looking at me like I was crazy.  I went to my knees and just looked at him placing my hand in his thick hair and feeling his cold skin. What the hell is happening? I feel like I've been living a lie, not like I hadn't been living a lie when I was with him, but he'll understand.

I heard rustling in the bushes over to the edge, my head snapped up and again I felt like I was weak as I saw him standing there with that bewildered look on his face that he used to pull when we would play games and I would win.

"Y/N?" He whispered, "How? Is this real? It can't be..." He ran up to me and knelt where I was sitting with his brother, touched my arm, and just launched forward grabbing me in a life-threatening hug. I smiled with a breath of air and couldn't believe what was happening, how we all just stumbled into each other like we had just moved away for a while. "Where have you been?" He asked me as I just kept staring waiting to open my eyes and be back in the car.

"I've been all over, trying to track Katherine down. She called me telling me to come to Mystic Falls and that there was something urgent that she had to tell me in person- it's possibly a trap but I'm prepared." She doesn't know who she's dealing with, I thought to myself.

"We have just been in a tomb searching for you," he looked like it was an ironic joke, "Emily told Damon that Katherine had turned you,"  He looked at me with sadness in his eyes and went on to continue "When you weren't in the tomb... we thought it was another lie. That you were just dead- Damon he, he turned his humanity off" I rolled my eyes, of course he has, that is an ironic joke.

What about Katherine turning me wasn't true but the "killing" is partially true I guess, I could have sworn Emily knew what I was when she saw me, so why would she lie? Surely Katherine still thinks that's what happened too. "Forever and more," I thought to myself, how much it reminded me of the thing that kept my family together before I met him, "Always and Forever."

~1002~ 

"Niklaus! You know he is searching for us still, so why? Why are we still here?" Elijah rushed to our brother, a hand clenched on Klaus's shoulder, eyes almost shooting daggers for answers. Klaus looked shocked at how forward Elijah had confronted him- this was not like him. He was worried for his siblings, he was worried for the weakest link- me. I was emotional, never able to fully comprehend what we had become.

"Elijah, I know he sounds stupid sometimes, but hear him out on this one. Please" I pleaded looking through his eyes, knowing he had a soft spot for his little sisters. That was when Rebekah poked her head from the tree she was behind, her long blonde hair making her impossible to miss. I smiled at her letting her know that I was intervening so she didn't have to.

"See, brother, my twin will always have the smarts in this family, I always said she was smarter than all of us combined." He said as he wrapped his arm around my shoulder. I shoved him off within seconds- he treated me like a baby, he wouldn't have anyone know that I was born just before him.

~ Back to Present ~

We had gotten back to the Salvatore mansion, I was thinking to myself how I'd always ended back here, it had been so long since I had seen any members of my family, in a way I did miss them but I do believe this was for the best.

"Earth to Y/N! Are you okay? You really spaced out there," Stefan's voice made me jump. To say I'm over a thousand years old, I do jump easily. I looked at him and smiled, I also missed him- he was the brother I had chosen, I did believe in always and forever until it became clear that Niklaus had only the intention of becoming more powerful than caring for his own family.

"Yeah, Stef, I'm fine- just a lot happening today that I wasn't expecting," I replied to him, realising that I had paused for too long. Hailey was just being Hailey, being nosey and touching all of their antiques, nearly dropping something that I could only imagine was very expensive. I also looked around, feeling the familiarity to the original Salvatore estate. I assumed that the old building would be rubble now or maybe something new. I would love to visit it, I could go there with Damon.

Just as that thought crossed my mind, Damon sat up and looked around frantically- his eyes landing on mine. He sped the way over to me, putting his hand on my cheek and searched my eyes for answers. Suddenly, that cold feeling broke my body and the world was dark.

A/N Hey guys, sorry for the long awaited chapter, I made a couple changes to this story to fit as I would like it, if you guys have any comments on what I could do better pleeease put them below, I haven't written in a while so I'm getting used to it, if you like the plot twist of the reader being an original that was an idea I had a while ago when I started writing this chapter, I missed you guys!!
