Damon's POV 1864
I walked into my chamber, quietly packing away the luggage that will be needed such as clothing, money, a map, and some luxuries. We will be leaving tonight, I had a sense of adrenaline as if this has been what I've wanted ever since the battle. Especially the house, but it was strange that I enjoyed the danger.
As I put the luggage bag somewhere no one could find it I heard hooves and a carriage outside of our home, strange...
Stefan and I walked to the door to see a young woman step out with what I assume is her servant and Guiseppe trailing behind. Stefan and I look at each other wide-eyed, they were supposed to be here tomorrow.

Damon's POV 2019
I have a plan perfectly fit to bring the love of my life back, but now I just need to execute it. I need a powerful witch, that's for sure. In the meantime, it's been fun watching 'hero hair' pretend like he's normal by going to school.
I blame everything that has happened on him, if he hadn't made me stay I could've grown old, had children, and most importantly been with Y/N. He had a small crush on Katherine which developed and I don't think he felt the same as she did him, I will say, though, that she's a lying, cold-hearted bitch.
She compelled me, instinctively it hurt when I was turned and remembered everything. But, the day it hurt most was when I saw Katherine murder Y/N. I never got to say goodbye, I just stood there forced to not say anything under her compulsion.
However, it didn't end there when I instead found out that Katherine had supposedly turned her, apparently felt pity for her. I doubt that it was most likely spite. I had to believe that it is true. Emily Bennette locked the vampires up in a tomb so they weren't burnt in a church, I believe -I know that she is in there with Katherine, who I will kill.
