A/N: This chapter has me screaming. Enjoy.
"You're much more of a Thanos." Doctor Strange sat on a pile of rubble, directly outside of their spaceship. Before him was the grape that the group had come to terms with was trying to end the world.
"I take it the Maw is dead. This day extracts a heavy toll. Still, he accomplished his mission."
"He brought you face-to-face with the master of the Mystic Arts."
"And where do you think he brought you?" Thanos paced back and forth, seemingly bored with the conversation.
"Let me guess. Your home?"
"It was. And it was beautiful. Titan was like most planets. Too many mouths, not enough to go around. And when we faced extinction, I offered a solution."
"Genocide."
"But random, dispassionate, fair to rich and poor alike. They called me a madman. And what I predicted came to pass."
"Congratulations." Kat clapped her hands, walking up behind Strange. "You're a prophet."
"I'm a survivor. I do not like to have children involved in my bidding, you'll know."
Kat laughed, shaking her head. "Who wants to murder trillions."
"With all six stones, I could simply snap my fingers. They would all cease to exist, I call that mercy."
"Mercy? And then what? Everything goes back to normal, and all those... people, what about them? All those families broken apart, what happens to them?" Kat walked forward, following Doctor Strange's steps. "What happens to all those children you killed?"
"I would finally rest and watch the sunrise on a grateful universe. The hardest choices require the strongest wills."
"I think you'll find their will equal to yours." Kat fiddled with the bracelet on her wrist, charging up her widow bites. She wasn't sure what good it would do against a titan, but she would have to try.
"Their?"
As if on queue, Tony came flying down from the sky, hitting Thanos square in the head with a large piece of metal. He was temporarily crushed under the weight of it, and it seemed like he was having no signs of getting back up. "Piece of cake, Quill."
"Yeah, if your goal was to piss him off." Thanos' gauntlet turned a shade of purple, and the metal around him separated into tiny chunks. He threw them at Tony, who fell under the weight of the particles.
Peter swung in and stuck a piece of web to Thanos' face, blinding him for the few minutes to come. Drax came up from his side and started attacking, but he was thrown off quickly.
Kat sent blasts of widow bites at Thanos, though it only shocked him slightly. Quill ran towards him, jumping up to be behind him. He lowered his mask and stuck up his middle finger. "Boom!"
Kat sent another round of widow bites, some of which were able to shock him to the ground for a few minutes. Doctor Strange sent his cape over to Thanos, covering his hand so he couldn't snap.
"Magic! More magic! Magic with a kick! Magic with a-" Peter was cut off from jumping through Doctor Strange's portals when Thanos grabbed around the neck slamming him to the ground.
"Insect!" He threw him to the side, hitting both Kat and Doctor Strange in his path.
"I'm sorry." Peter tried to get back on his feet but was pulled down by an explosion firing around Thanos. "Are we winning?"
Doctor Strange's cape flew back around him, ushering him to stand and fight again. He turned to Kat and Peter, his eyes staying on the ground. "This isn't the real fight."
