The boys munched on their fruits, juice was already over them. Y/n was sitting with boys. The two right next to her were laying on her arm. One sat up to look at her and offer her a fruit and his other hand. She shook her head, "No thank you"
Politely decline.
The sound from the conch blew again. Ralph probably wanted them back to the spot.
"Come on" Y/n told the boys, leading back to the beach.

The area was already crowded. And luckily the little boys had their clothes back on. Things we've of still be awkward if they didn't have them on still. Ralph finish blowing the conch and lowed it to his knees. A sudden breeze hit the platform. Y/n felt her hair blowing a little to her face.
Ralph cleared his throat.
"Well then"
"We're on an island. We'll have to look after ourselves. But it's a good island: there's lots of fruit, water and I'm pretty sure there aren't any dangerous animals".
"So things aren't so bad. None of us are hurt, there isn't any dangers and we can build shelters and be comfortable".
A few of the boys looked at each other in the sound of the ocean was loud.
"So if we're sensible, we do things properly, if we don't lose our head, we'll be alright"
"But where will we sleep?!"
"Or build shelters?!" The little ones called out.
All talking on top of each other.
"And another, thing you can't have everyone talking at once. You shall have to put your hands up like you do in school. Then I'll give you the conch".

Jack broke in

"Yes. I agree. We got to have rules and obey them and besides we're not savages, we're English and the English are best for everything". The crowd broke into an applause. Piggy was given the conch.
"Quiet! you're not letting Ralph get to the most important thing. Who knows that we're here?....nobody".
"They knew what the airport"
"The man with the a trumpet-thing"
"My dad"
"Perhaps they knew what we was going to; and perhaps not. But they don't know where we are".
Piggy was breathless. A few boys giggled.
Ralph took the conch from his hands.
"The plane was shut down in flames. Nobody knows where we are. We may be here a long time". It went silent again, sent enough that you can hear Piggy's breathing.

Y/n noticed one boy raised his hand. He looked about six years old and one side of his face was a mulberry-colored birthmark, he was pretty small. He stood up.
The crowd looked at him and laughed, making him feel humiliated. I made a block from saying any words, and he looks like he was about to cry.
He looks at Y/n. assuming he wanted to tell her something. She gets up, making the crowd look up at her. some were a bit confused. She kneels down to him and started to whisper something to her ear. She leaned up and looked at Ralph.

"He wants to know what you're going to do about the snake thing"

Ralph laughed and the other boys laughed with him, besides Y/n. The laughter angered her.
The small boy twisted himself and lean his head against her tummy.
"Tell us about the snake-thing" Ralph said.
The small boy whispered something else into the girl's ear.
"Now he says it was a beastie"
"A beastie?" they laughed again.
"A snake-thing ever so big, he saw it"
"When?"
"When he was hiding in the jungle in the dark"
"He said when the rain stopped it turned to one of them things like ropes in the trees and hung in the branches"
Y/n kneel once again.
"He says, will it come back at night?"
There was a moment of silence.
"He must've had a nightmare" Ralph said. The older boys agree with him.
"There isn't a beastie"
"Ralph is right, there isn't a beast if there was one will hunt it" Jack jumped in. The choir boys nodded.

"There's another thing. We can help them to find us. If a ship comes near the island they may not notice us. So we must make smoke on top of the mountain. We must make a fire."

"A fire! Make a fire!" Then that the boys were already on their feet.
"Come on follow me!" Jack yelled, doing it with his hand signal.
Y/n followed along.
Everyone got some sticks and branches that they can find and put them in the middle. then a group of boys found a large piece of the tree and put it in the pile too.
"Anybody got any matches?" everyone shook their head.

Just then, Piggy came up with the conch. Surprised at the pile. "My! You've made a big heap, haven't you?"

"His specs-use them as burning glasses!"all the boys surrounded and grabbed him. "Let me go!" He yelled. Jack snatch the glasses from his face and ran to the pile.
Jack put the glasses in the right angle in the sun, creating a little spark of fire on the wood. then flames appeared. Everyone cheered.
"My specs! Give me my specs!" Ralph took the glasses from Jack and put it on Piggy.
"More! More wood!" Ralph shouted.
More of them were put into the pit, creating a large flame.
They keep going at it until eventually. They got exhausted and sat down, panting like dogs.

"That was no goo" Ralph said.
"What d'you mean?" Roger questioned.
"There wasn't any smoke. Only flame"

"We haven't made a fire' Piggy said, "what's any use. We couldn't keep a fire like that going, not if we tried."
"A fat lot you tried," said Jack contemptuously. "You just Sat. "
"He did help—a little" said Y/n.
"We used his specs," said Simon "He helped that way." The girl agreed by nodding.
"Green branches," said Maurice. "That's the best way to make smoke.
"I got the conch!"
Jack turned fiercely. "You shut up!"

Piggy wilted. Ralph took the conch from him and looked round the circle of everyone.
"We got to have someone looking after the fire. any day, there will be a ship. And if we have a signal going they'll come and take us off."

Y/n what's about to speak to do the honor, looking after the fire but Jack stood up.
"We'll be responsible for keeping a lookout. If we see a ship out there"-they followed the direction of his bony arm with their eyes -"we'll put green branches on".
Roger came and took the conch, giving everyone a gloomily look.
"I've been watching the sea. There hasn't been the trace of a ship".
Ralph took the conch from him.
"I said before we'll be rescued sometime.
"Im sure there'll be a ship. We've just got to wait; that's all" Said Y/n.

Smoke was rising here and there. That festooned the dead or dying trees. As they watched, a flash of fire appeared at the root of one wisp, and then the smoke thickened.

A little'un came up to Y/n and tugged on her arm. "What is it?" She asked the boy. He didn't say anything. He kept tugging on her arm, wanting her to follow him. The bigger boys went back to their conversation. She got up and followed the boy behind the fire. Where the other little group of boys were. They surrounded a little'un, that looked like he was about to cry, while holding his pawn.
As she got closer, she saw that the boy had a cut on his finger from something. It was just a small wound, it wasn't bleeding or anything; but she understands. She gets close, and the boys moved a spot for her to sit right next to him. She examines the finger.
"Does it hurt still?" Her voice was so gentle.
The boy nodded then sticks his hand out to her.
"My mummy always kisses the cuts I get. She said it makes them go away" his voice sounded so adorable. The girl gave a soft smile, gently taking the boy's hand. Softly, caressing his finger with her thumb, then landed a small kiss on his wound.
"There, all better" she rubbed his pawn with her other hand. The boy smiled, removing his hand from hers.
"What is Ralph goanna do about the beastie?"
One of the boys asked in a worried voice. "Oh I'm sure he'll handle it. Him and Jack".
"Are you sure?"
"The beastie won't get you as long as their around—and me" the boy on her left leaned against her, with his head up and looking at the fire.
"Ralph is smart. He would know what to do. Otherwise why would he be chief?" A few boys slightly smile.
"And that goes the same with the boy who—" Y/n realized some one was missing. The boy with the birthmark. Who brought up the beast. He was nowhere to be found.

He was nowhere to be found
