The car pulled into the abandoned parking lot opposite from a dilapidated warehouse.

'What is this place?' Okoye asked.

'I fixed a few trucks for the head of sanitation,' Riri argued, and all four of us exited the car. 'He lets me work out of this garage in exchange. I just have to grab my work laptop.' She entered the building, and the three of us, Shuri included, went inside the building with her. I pulled the Asgardian katana I owned from its sheath on my back and scanned the area, then used my wings to lightly levitate above the area for security. When I saw nothing, I flew back down, and kept walking with the others to find Riri's laptop. 'Please... don't touch anything.'

'You don't have to worry about that,' Okoye said, also scanning the area, it seemed.

'It may not look like much, but it's my life's work in here,' Riri said, dumping her bag on her chair. She closed an old-looking laptop.

'So, the design for the machine is on that laptop?' I asked.

'Yeah.'

'And you just leave it on a desk in a car garage?' Okoye asked.

'I got 2065-byte encryption on that thing,' Riri replied.

'That's impressive,' Shuri said, looking at all the computer screens around the one desk. 'Ever locked yourself out?'

'Took me the whole semester to get back in. Had to build a functional quantum computer just to crack my way back in.' I stepped over to where Shuri was looking at some designs.

'What is it you are building here?' Shuri asked, turning to Riri. 'Is it Stark tech?'

'I said don't touch anything.'

'Princess, American law enforcement has just arrived at your location,' GRIOT, Shuri's AI, spoke.

'Shit,' I said softly.

'Who was that?' Riri asked.

'My AI,' Shuri said, and rushed to the door. I jogged over to Okoye, seeing the map of the place lit up on her Kimoyo Beads.

'They're surrounding the place.' Shuri went over to the window, opening it a crack and releasing a dragonfly from one of her beads.

'I thought you said a merman was after me,' Riri said. 'Those are the feds.'

Riri began to complain very loudly as she ripped down the designs from her billboard.

'Listen, everyone, we have to work together to get out of here,' I called out. 'The feds will break down the door any minute. I can hold them off, give you three time to get out of here.'

'General, they've got us surrounded,' Shuri said. 'Maybe we should just split up.'

'Out of the question,' Okoye said, then turned to Riri, gesturing to a nearby car covered with a dirty grey cloth. 'Does this vehicle work?'

'No,' Riri said, tossing something into a barrel.

'Everything in this lab works, including this bike,' Shuri said, walking over to the bike.

'Don't even think about it,' Okoye said. 'Besides, there are three of us.'

'Two of ya'll,' Riri said, moving over to a small switch hanging down from a roof. 'I'm taking this.'

'And I'll hold them off. Buy you guys some time,' I said, swinging my sword around with ease and sheathing it. Shuri whooped in delight, walking over to Riri.
