'6:00' my clock read as I turned the alarm off. I groaned and rolled out of bed. I hate Wednesdays.
After I showered for 5 minutes, I hopped out and wrapped myself in a soft, cotton towel. With every step I took the more I dreaded going to school. I checked my phone for the weather and frowned when I got my results: 90% change of rain...all freaking day.
I huffed as I put a baggy t-shirt and my favorite black and white Avengers waterproof leggings on, I searched for my black and white polka dotted rain-boots and slid on a black rain jacket. I looked at my self in the mirror and rolled my eyes frustratingly.
"I hate Wednesdays." I said aloud to myself and then walk out.
I wasn't very hungry, so I grabbed my stuff and left the house. As I opened the garage door, I noticed my mom's Subaru was no longer parked in the garage. As a matter of fact, now that I think about it, I didn't even hear her faint snores as I walked passed her room this morning. I wonder why she left so early this morning. But I'm too exhausted to even think of a reason right now.
As I walked outside, it had already began to rain and to make my Wednesday even worse, the sun was nowhere to be found. I. Hate. Wednesdays.
I walked on the sidewalk, not bothering to take out my headphones and risk them getting wet, and splashed into any puddle I could find along the way. I took my time walking to my bus stop, I had left the house earlier than usual so I had no reason to rush. When I got to my stop, I set my backpack down and leaned against the stop sign, taking in a deep breath.
For once in a long time, the air didn't reek of sea-salt and I appreciated it very much.
Thank you, World I thought to myself Thank you for giving me one thing to not hate on this terrible, terrible Wednesday.
The rain pattered against the hood of my waterproof, black rain jacket and even though my entire head was covered, rain somehow snuck its way into my hood, leaving water drops on my glasses that I was too lazy to wipe off.
The bus pulled up and came to a screeching stop, spraying water all over my legs. Normally, I'd be mortified and maybe had given the bus driver the finger, but it's a Wednesday, so I just sighed and boarded the bus. It's a good thing that everything I'm wearing right now is waterproof, or I'd probably kill the bus driver.
When the bus finally made it to school, the rain decided that it didn't want to stop, so I trudged through the pouring rain, blind because I could see anything out of my water-covered glasses. I tried my best to avoid bumping into anyone but someone decided that he just had to ride his longboard in the rain, didn't he?
"Move, Alex!" Tyler exclaimed from my left, but I couldn't see him. So I moved alright, I moved to the right. But guess who was on my right. Nick Statis and his little clique of douchebags. I ran right into them.
Good news: I finally dodged Tyler on his killing machine that he calls a longboard.
Bad news: I literally threw myself into the Sharks' territory."Hey, watch it, Nerd!" Nick shoved me away, making his friends snicker, which only motivated him to be even more of an asshole.
I scowled and began to walk away, only to be pulled back by the hood of my jacket.
Damn it, Nick. It's pouring outside, can't you choose a better time and place to embarrass me?
"Not so fast, Nerd" Nick growled with a smug smile on his face "You owe me something, don't you?"
I gulped. His homework, I was supposed to do his homework. I totally forgot all about it.
