Arden's POV
(don't be a silent reader<3)

I got invited to a party. More specifically, all college students were invited to come to Melani Perry's party.

I didn't plan to go, but when Dareen told me that Ophelia will be there, I immediately got ready and left the dorm.

"We are on time" Dareen states as he leaves the car, which was parked by me on the street next to a large mansion.

Actually, it was more than large. It was twice larger house than our biggest shopping center.

I bet, this house belongs to rich RICH people.

"Are you kidding me?" Dareen yells as he stands at the entrance. "This is a whole fucking castle"

"Melani must have rich parents or royal blood" I say as I step in the house.

"How are we supposed to find our girls in here?" Dareen questions taking a first drink from the bartender who is walking with a pallet of drinks.

I take a drink too.

"Hi, Arden!" I see Jade coming to me. The music doesn't block her voice any bit.

"I'll leave you alone, man" my best friend taps my shoulder and disappears into the crowd.

"Let me introduce you to Melani Perry, the queen of this party" the blonde takes my hand and leads me to the other room.

I didn't get even a chance to say something.

"Hi, Melly!" Jade yells and waves to the girl sitting on the couch with a bunch of other girls.

Somehow Jade's voice sounded sarcastically to me. She didn't seem to be fully nice to this new girl.

"Hey!" the called Melani waves back. It's a tall, dark curly haired girl. Her appearance screams rich.

Now that I look at her, I could say that Ophelia didn't look this spoiled as this girl.

"It's Arden" Jade introduces me to Melani.

"What's with this kind attitude, Jade?" Bria enters the room. She's my teammate Koen's girlfriend.

This woman is so bold and sometimes even bitchy. I don't even know how our shy and quiet boy Koen tolerates her. Even loves her.

Bria has some beef with Ren too. They feel hatred towards each other since the day they met. I still don't get why though.

"Um sorry?" Jade turns to Bria. She seems confused about Bria's remark.

"Didn't you lose to Melani on the ice?" Bria's eyebrow raises. She seems to be drunk a little. "I have heard from students talking about you being pissed like shit after being a looser to a new chick on the ice"

"What? Who told you that?" Jade's voice raises.

"Everyone?" Bria points her hand around. She takes a seat next to Melani on the couch.

"Melani Perry?" she turns to the girl of this party.

"Yes, it's me" Melani gives a wide cheerful smile to Bria.

"I'm Bria Yardley. Nice to finally meet you" she draws her hand for Melani to shake.

"Nice to see you too" Melani shakes Bria's hand.

"Are you trying to mess with me?" Jade is quick to continue on the last topic. As I look at her, her eyes are narrowed, glued to Bria.

"Me?" Bria points at herself. "I don't have time for that" she rolls her eyes and takes a glass of champagne from the girl sitting beside her.
