Milim's POV: (Past) - Clayman's Domain

Clayman: Gah! Those pests within the forest just refuse to die!

Frey: An all too common feature of pests.

Frey's tone suggest deeper meaning but Clayman's so mad with tempered rage that he fails to catch her meaning.

Me: I still don't get why you want to take over the forest-

Clayman: It's not about taking...nevermind. Those plans will need to be placed on hold now that this...uggh.

He might act upset but I'd bet anything he's just as interested in this "human" that somehow managed to defeat his puppet. He's wrong, of course, given the "human" isn't human at all and is in fact a slime but I doubt his ego could take such a beating.

Carrion: Mmm...perhaps I should pay this human a visit...get him as my subordinate-

Clayman: Keep your filthy paws away. He's mine! I'll need to replenish my lost numbers after all.

Me: Haha! You already had your chance! I'll be paying him a visit and you'd all best stay out of my way!

I don't wait on a response before blasting off towards the Great Forest but rather than continue on my path, the minute I clear Clayman's field of vision, I turn north. There's one person who ought to know something about this situation and given I don't wish to be humiliated like Clayman, especially with the Storm Dragon now supposedly loose as well, some preparation may be in order.

I land through the ice roofing of his castle, crushing any and everything in my path until I'm in the throne room.

Velzard: Must you constantly destroy my perfect creations every time you visit?

Me: Where's Guy?

She sighs, before shooing me away.

Guy: Milim? What a surprise!

Milim: I'm not here to play.

Guy: Oh?

Milim: I'm here to talk-

Guy: Hmmm...what's gotten you so worked up?

Milim: I am not!!!

Guy: Your curiosity's piqued, isn't it?

Milim: I...anyways, let's say...there was this guy who I needed to get close to-

Guy: Use your body.

Velzard claps him across the back so hard that his head almost hits the ground.

Velzard: If you ever-

Guy: What? Isn't it the truth?

Velzard: Milim is young and innocent!

Guy: Your niece is anything but young and innocent. Still, you do have a point. Milim, what am I getting for this service?

Velzard: When did I even-

Milim: Help me and I'll owe you a favour.

Guy: A favour, hmm?

Guy comes closer, taking me by the chin as he stares into my eyes.

Guy: The things I could take from you...

Velzard: Watch-

Guy: But! As it so happens, I'm feeling a bit generous so here's what I'll do.
